They probably "forgot" to update your AP petition. But at least you now know it's approved and you have it in hand. :)

Just received the "combo card" that provides employment authorization and advanced parole. Applicaiton went in Oct 4. We received the card about 1 week after we received the email.

Interesting, however, is that the email made no mention of the advanced parole. In addition, USCIS website still says that the application for advanced parole is under "initial review" and that the application has not been touched since the day it was received.

So, does this mean that the USCIS web site is completely useless for keeping us up to date on the progress of our applications (which I suspect), or does it mean that the advanced parole is not yet valid?

You should be fine if you have the "serves as I-512" printed on the bottom of the card. If it says "Not valid for re-entry" like my wife's, then you should get a paper I-512 that will serve as advance parole.

yeah, the USCIS website does not really update in real time, I think it's more like manually updated, so if an officer forgot to update it on their system then that would never change.

same for us - I'm thinking they just didn't update it but we will check it like Pete Falcone suggested. :)

typically it takes them up to a week to send you a card.

In my case after I got status card prodution to scheduled delivery it took 6 days.

Now wait for a tracking number of the mail from uscis and then you can track delivery of your card by usps.

Thanks, I should get my card before end of year then... I hope I can get the interview date asap, usually the interview date would be one month after the letter right?

Congrats to all who were approved/received their cards. :) We got our card on Friday and went to the DMV on Saturday where they gave him a driver's permit..we now have to go to a larger center where they will let him know whether he needs to take the written or driver's tests - odd how they weren't sure...said it varies. I wonder if it has anything to do with him being from the UK where they drive on the other side of the road...oh well, we'll have to tackle that visit after Christmas. :)

Sad news—we got a second RFE on Friday. Again for stuff we already sent in (although different stuff this time). This time it was about my financial info—they didn't see the photocopied paystubs I'd included. Sigh. I'm sending the repeat info back today or tomorrow. Just very downhearted right now :(

Congrats to everyone who's been approved for their stuff, though!
