Been busy with moving. And been/still sick. Hospital and other bills are piling up. I need to work sooooooon.

Hey guys I just want to share my timeline because I am getting a little frustrated because there are a lot of job opportunities coming my way (i'm a registered nurse)

but I couldn't grab them because I am still waiting for my work authorization. My wife and I have been very cautious about spending because

as of the moment, she is the only one who is working and she doesn't get paid as much.

Here is my timeline

Sept 27, 2013: Filed i-130, i-485, and i-765

Sept 30, 2013: notice of acceptance of i-765 with receipt

October 1, 2013: notice of acceptance of 485 and 130

October 4, 2013: 765 work authorization and 130 in INITIAL REVIEW status (gets frustrating because this is the stand still part)

October 18, 2013: walk in biometrics done

October 31, 2013: Notice of 485 AOS ready for scheduling

November 25: (day 59 from Sept 27, 2013 filing and still no word yet from 485 and 765)

should I panic? or is this a normal time table for people applying here in Texas?

I hate seeing my wife work hard alone and pay the bills on her own, I want to help her so bad.

It totally sucks. You should look for work though. If you have a written job offer you can call and put in a service request to expedite EAD. I was in the same boat and put in my service request with a tier 2 customer service req on day 59 and card went into production on day 60. Card is supposed to be delivered today, a little under 2 weeks from production date.

is your ead based on marriages-based green card? because if i apply for it won't they tell me that my wife is working anyway? i want to give it a try. what are the requirements needed?

I just sent you a PM. My I-485 is based on marriage. She is working, but honestly the way I looked at is was that I had nothing to lose in trying.

I called in and put in the service request and the next day it was in production. Could have just been the timing (60 days), but hey it worked for me!

I think Valigetta was talking about the USCIS website being down. It was under maintainance that time when it was posted. And the Case Status section was down as well.

Thanks, dearie. Yeahhhh, it's the VERY cold weather I'm getting used to. The other night it went as far as -25ºF to -30ºF (or -31.667ºC to 34.44ºC) and I'm from a tropical country! Metro Manila only gets cold during the rainy season up to about -18ºC or 64.4ºF at night! (Though I have experienced -5ºC in Denver 2 years ago.)

I feel you. Right now, my husband's the only breadwinner. I want to help and pay the bills too. Plus this is by far the longest I've been 'unemployed' since leaving Manila. I've been working since I graduated in 2004. Eep.

Try to call and put in a service request. Again, nothing left to lose. Who knows? As far as I know, it won't count against our application. Plus you already have plane tickets booked. But hmm... THIS Friday you say? I don't know if it's going to be delivered overnight...

Hello October filers! Nice to meet you guys! We are October filers too:) Let's wait for our interviews/approvals together!

Here is our timeline so far (adjusting from K-1):

10/08 - package sent

10/10 - check cashed

10/11 - numbers of cases assigned and NOAs-1 sent

10/16 - text and e-mail notifications

10/19 - 3 NOA-1 in mail box

10/27 - invitation for biometrics for 11/08

10/30 - early walk-in for biometrics

no changes in statuses, waiting ..........................................
