I have been waiting for it since oct 31st.I called and they said am in line to get an interview.Hopefully i get a letter soon

Congrats to everyone's case for moving along! h.v that stinks that you got an RFE for something they lost but hopefully won't delay things too much.

We had our biometrics appt today...I'm reminded once again that NJ is the most densely populated state. We were there about 45 minutes in total, most of it waiting.

Now we wait some more.

I hear ya. I have a friend that had their biometrics appointment on October 8th (she's from Minnesota) and her status for AOS hasn't changed at all. I'm from North Dakota, and both of our cases go through the St. Paul MN Field Office. The good part about it is, she already has her EAD. She got it a month after the biometrics appointment.

Updating..

Got an RFE Nov. 04, apparently, they need my husband's Form 1040 which we already sent to them. I think they lost it for some reason which sucks.

Nov. 08, got the RFE letter in the mail

Nov. 08, sent the documents

Nov. 14, they received the RFE doc.

Now waiting......

they got our response on the 15th so we are pretty close on timelines. Ours was missing translated birth certificate (I did send it in also but I guess they wanted a US translated one ? don't know). Now waiting again....good luck to you

Hello Mrs.Presson! Sorry I wasn't able to update you guys. Yes I was able to have it last Nov7. I just got an email Testing&Interview stage.. just need to wait for the letter. How are you and our co-October filers?

thanks, I think. lots of waiting with our immigration processes - not so good for someone like me who is not considered a very patient person.

yup - looks like we are in a similar boat! 10/8 and no movement? yikes! thankfully she got her EAD quickly...hopefully we will get ours within a month or so too. Is there any way to find out where they are on processing EAD cards or just what people post here as their experiences?

I have a dumb question - I hadn't logged in on USCIS in a few months so it said it locked my account for inactivity. I know the real password but it said the hint answer I'm giving doesn't match exactly. Ugh. Did this happen to anyone else and did you just sign up for a new account? TIA

Hi! It happened to me too.

So, I called the customer service number..but they were not able to tell me how to fix it.

They said the electronic /internet department is separated, but I haven't find who's able to fix it.

Keep me posted if you find a solution!

Hi! So dumb for the site to let it expire after only a few months...especially since I still know my password I just don't know what i put for my dang hint answer lol! I'm thinking I'm just going to register under my husband (who was the beneficiary) with his info this time and get around the duplicate thing.

Update! Our RFE was for two documents we'd already DEFINITELY sent in. I was annoyed but it seems like they're losing lots of people's documents recently. Oh well. We sent the evidence back in and got status changed to "Request for Evidence Response Review" on 11/18.

Timeline:

10/12/2013: Submitted AOS package of I-130, I-485, and I-131
10/16/2013: Package received
11/2/2013: Received letter scheduling biometrics testing for 11/14

11/6/2013: Successful biometrics walk-in (SLC office)
11/6/2013: Received email of RFE for I-485
11/12/2013: Received hard copy of RFE letter (for two documents previously sent in. Sigh.)
11/13/2013: Mailed RFE evidence

Just checked our status and the I-485 status changed to "Request for Evidence Response Review" as well. They got our response on the 18th of November apparently also.

I bet there will be more RFE's coming for us but hopefully it won't take 2 months to get the EAD....

I don't understand why they are so restrictive with the applications but they loose so many documents..

I am still "testing and interview" since last wednesday, nothing in the mail yet. The other applications, still under initial review.

Seriously. Doesn't everyone think this would be easier if they had some sort of online system?

"Upload birth certificate here."

"Is birth certificate in a language other than English? --> Upload translation here."

"Upload tax statements here."

That way we would never forget anything (lawyer fees = eliminated!), they wouldn't lose anything, nothing would get lost in the mail, we'd save on express mail fees, and they wouldn't have to deal with a heap of loose paper sheets, either.

But I guess that would be too simple a solution

I don't know...they wanted my bc translated which I had sent to them already so anything else can be a problem.

Originally, I thought that maybe medical will be an issue since I sent them my filled out form from the embassy marked complete or possibly tax transcripts from my father in law (my husband qualifies on his own and I sent in stuff just in case but without tax transcripts since they were not arriving and I did not want to wait any longer)...so lots of possibilities....

I don't much care how long green card will take or if we have an interview. All i want for now is work permit so we can both contribute and get our lives on track ...move out, get a car etc etc.

What do you mean more RFE coming? Do you expect another RFE again. Just wondering if USCIS does, sometimes, mess up by sending RFE letters more than once!

I thought I read somewhere that it was possible to get more RFE's ? I am about 85% certain I read it some place....
