Two updates today!

1) Got my AP in the mail yesterday. Awesomeness :) Biometrics photo isn't too awful hahaha.

2) Case status updated to Testing and Interview! YAYYY! Does that mean no chance of waiver, then? Did anyone who got a waiver have their case status updated to this?

Congrats to everyone else whose cases have progressed since I last posted! That's super exciting about interviews being approved on the spot and waivers being fast-tracked to green card processing! :)

I got the waiver after no updates or changes in my AOS status. I just got the mail one day saying we're a potential interview waiver case and that there's an additional 6 more months of processing. However, a week after that I got an update saying the card is in production. I think it's always a 50-50 when it comes to USCIS processing our documents. But yay for you. Even if you get an interview, most usually get an approval right on the spot! :)

Still no news upon receiving my waiver though! But it's fine. EAD's enough for now, especially when I have upcoming job interviews too. Wish me luck! :D

I'm so happy to hear so many good news from you guys!

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who scheduled/passed interviews, got green cards, or/and jobs!

As for us, we don't have any changes in status, it's still at Initial review stage and there's no interview waiver letter at old/new addresses.

We called to NBC some time ago, and talked to tier 2 person, he said that our application is still at NBC and, yet, hasn't been sent to the field office.

Also, he said he didn't know whether the Interview waiver letter was sent to us, because he didn't see that information in the system.

So, he suggested just to wait reffering that 3.5 months is not long waiting time, and we should call after 6 months of waiting.

Anyway, wish to all of us to hear positive news from USCIS soon!!

Hi Mr/Mrs Happy - we are pretty much in the same boat - no letter, no nothing but like Mrs P, just happy we have the EAD now so he can look for work. :)

Congrats to everyone with the good news - glad to see that for my fellow October filers that some cases are moving quickly! Good luck to everyone with job interviews too! :)

I agree, it's good to have at least EAD and be able to look for a job. however, some jobs require you to have at least a green card yes.gif

Did you try to call to NBC to get an update about the status of your application? Was it sent to the field office or it is still at NBC?

I think if our application is still in NBC, then it can be because: name/background checks are not completed; application is waiting when the field office is ready to proceed further; our file somewhere in line for Interview waiver; our file somewhere at the bottom of shelve...

The uscis officer told us to wait 6 months and then call again if we don't get any news from them.

We were waiting 9 months to get K-1 and I hoped that with green card it would be faster, though I think moving to different state might make terms longer.

Anyway, I hope to hear good news form uscis soon and share them with everyone here! Good luck to all of us!rose.gifClockWatch2.gif

How's everyone? And congrats on the recent approvals/updates!

I got an update again from USCIS and my card is now on it's way. Also got done with two job interviews today. I am scared I didn't do too well so I'm just beating myself up over it... At the very least, I got the experience of how job interviews are in the US.

Thanks sis! And don't worry. I'm pretty sure you'll be hearing form USCIS very soon. They might send you the Welcome to US letter first without any warning and then update you with the card production for your GC :)

Did anyone else not even receive EAD or AP and just had their GC interview in roughly 3 months from submission? My wife got approved on Tuesday for the GC and never received anything past the acknowledgement that we submitted the EAD and AP with the i-485. I'm trying to figure out if it's common practice for USCIS to just "fast track" green card apps without any red flags like I feel ours would of been to just issue the GC quicker instead of EAD or AP first.

Either way, we both couldn't be happier. :)

Thanks all!

Finally some good news for me. I got the GC. Everyone who had the interview waiver has a big chance that within the week or so you may get an update for your GC. Mine took about three weeks from the waiver till it got delivered. Don't lose hope!
