So I can get government supported insurance, which you will pay for with your taxes, and that is ok......but if I do not get insurance, and go to the ER for treatment, your taxes will still pay for this, . but you say that this is not ok...

Please explain the difference.

Refusing to get insurance and going to the emergency room and making me pay for your bad choices is not an Obama policy. Believe it or not.

true, it is not an Obama policy... but this is the current common accepted way that people receive their healthcare...

So I ask, who has an extra 600 bucks a month to buy an insurance policy and then wait 12 months for tax time to report those costs and wait for a refund.?

Do not confuse the losers with facts. They can't handle it.

Personal responsibility vs. deadbeat. You appear to lean towards the latter. I prefer the former.

I also prefer and believe in personal responsibility/ However, the democratic party and President Obama have made/increased policies which make it easier to choose the latter..I agree with you and I prefer that people choose the former and accept personal responsibility..

However, the facts do promote that the current president continues his non-stop media campaign of telling people how to obtain "free goodies", from the government..

and when you do the math, as previously suggested. one would do fairly well by applying for and receiving those benefits... and it is all legal.!

So again, why insult someone, and call them a deadbeat, when in fact they have the intelligence to take full advantage of every socialistic program offered by Obama and the Democratic party..?? They are not deadbeats, lemmings maybe, because the government says they will take care of us, and some people believe it, and they receive all the benefits they are entitled to..

Who knows where the money goes to ultimately. The government seems to always divert it else where instead of where it was intended for. A good example is Social Security, which I don't expect to get much/anything from when I finally retire.

That's actually a good question. Not necessarily the what is ok or not ok; but rather if it will save money for most of us in the long run.

Right now, a person who can't afford insurance goes to the emergency room for treatment and the cost is just passed along to the rest of us. With ACA, a person who can't afford insurance will receive assistance that is funded by the rest of us. It seems that, either way, we end up paying for that person's medical coverage.

Where does the saving for the average person come from? Is it because hopefully the person will choose different medical options rather than going to the emergency room?

The savings comes from the fact that a visit to the doctor's office costs $100.00. A visit to the ER costs $1,000.00.

And Batman, you did ask a good question as to who will manage the cashflow problem. I can't believe that the gov would make people spend more than they can afford and then pay them back later, so it leads me to believe that the "subsidy" is immediate and the insurance company is the one that deals with the cashflow issue.

Hopefully everyone will know exactly how it works very soon.
