I haven't even filed anything yet and I'm having days like this as well. However I can see it like this. A year or two will pass with us apart either way. I would rather wait, shed tears, get pissed, etc during two years knowing that the end is near versus toss in the towel and try to go on about my life and wonder what if.

I have a feeling OP is just venting and having a rough patch. Cut them some slack.

I read that she is just venting also.

Well, call me heartless but I don't buy into the whole "pain is relative" spiel. If you see other stories out there of people who have waaaaay more difficult circumstances in life than you then you should feel grateful your circumstances are not as bad as they could be. Some of us it seems are just on god's sh_t list, for lack of a more sardonic expression.

I prefer not to call you heartless, Charles may be lurking in the shadows rofl.gif

I just think OP was venting and didn't in any way feel ungrateful especially to others.

Hang in there. I too felt just like you do during my journey. When everyone says "HANG IN THERE...THE WAIT IS WORTH IT" believe them. I think back to all the heartache and realize how much it was worth it. Learn to work together through these times, it will prepare you for what comes once you are united. Build a strong foundation!

i am tired of waiting, got my NOA2 , now the earliest embassy date is January. my heart cannot take any more. i am calling it quits. i am making irrational decisions. the loneliness is eating me alive. i wish i never stated this. i wish you all well in your journey.

So sorry this is happening to you. On the bright side at least you know you can get an interview in January. VJ saved me and my wife's sanity. I spent so much time here on VJ just to keep occupied and keep from going insane! It helped me pass the time. Our process of 8 months was worth it. By irrational decisions I hope you do not mean you are thinking about cheating because that would not be worth it. My wife and I are together now and in hindsight the waiting was worth it. If you are still in love do not give up. If you are no longer in love then by all means give up and move on. Either way I will be praying for you. GOD BLESS

Aloha Ke Akua

I guess I'm not surprised by a lot of the cold posts here but my god, you don't know her and her situation, there could be many reasons she is taking the wait harder even though to outsiders it seems like nothing, especially considering some of the rougher cases here. I know the wait, stress and anxiety has been very hard on me too, especially with the lead up to the government shutdown. Just try to relax, maybe see a doctor if you are having a really hard time, and try not to focus on the visa. Good luck and hang in there.

I came out of a 14 year marraige so I was kinda rusty in terms of kitchen utensils

We were off of the plane at 10, at home by noon and after a quick sortie around the house we were inside Costco by 2pm.

It all felt so normal. Well except that I had to keep reminding her that she can't negotiate the price

hehehehe.....that is sooo funny. This will be the hardest thing for my husband to accept.

I get your frustration.. I have not seen my fiance in a year and 2 months. I gave birth to our baby boy who is 9 months and he has yet to meet him! You already passed the approval stage here the rest should be easy. I know waiting sucks but if the love is there you could pull thru.. good luck.

I feel for u as well but we are all going through this. It's hard but agree with most that it is all worth it in the end. It's difficult traveling especially since flights are so expensive! I haven't seen my fiance since March. :( I'M planning a trip in Dec but ugh. Idk how many more flights/trips I can afford before this journey is over. :( that to me is depressing!!

I totally understand!! Just received interview date for Jan2014 as well. We started this process in Jan this yr. I know some people visit each other often, but I'm not able to do that. With this economy, I'm trying to save and visit when it's time for the interview. Anyway, I wish u would not give up....

I sure hope you are wrong. I remember a female that was having an affair with a Filipino "boy" and she got pregnant, all the while she was "engaged" to an American. Poor guy really loved her and took care of her for 2 years.

Thank you all for the reality check, i was just venting. the US takes your money for the I-129F, makes you jump through hoops, then you get the NOA2.

then you wait again to get a approval number from NVC/DOS , then you go to the embassy website , to wait another three months.

i forgot when i started this , that i cant go across town to kiss you when i want to. we cant have a romantic dinner and then hold each other all night.

PLEASE FORGIVE ME. I WAS BI@@HING, THINKING I AM THE ONLY ONE. THE REALITY CHECK HAS BEEN GREAT FOR ME.

I WISH WE ALL DID NOT HAVE THIS WAIT.
