There are a few things in life I stress out about. Immigration is VERY stressful, but I know it's only temporary. Those few things that stress me out are getting better though...thank goodness! As for a fear....I am TERRIBLY AFRAID of snakes. I don't know why...but I have this unshakable fear of the lil buggers. Sigh :(

I forgot to say... I have phobias and irrational fears and anxiety AND panic attacks - I was even agoraphobic for about a year. I got a lot better when I moved to the US and things were settled but anxiety is here to stay - it's just part of who I am, sadly...

I remember one time, when talking to Dave online before ever meeting in person, he said: "Look, I have a problem and I love and respect you too much so I can't let you get in this relationship without telling you about it first".

Dave has panic/bipolar disorder/agoraphobia. Since then, it has become OUR "problems" and not his. He'll never have to go through that alone anymore.

It was a big issue when he was living here with me because everything was different from what he knew and that made the attacks(big ones) come more often.

There were tough times....and I had to do a lot of reading and learning about it all. I was an innocent girl when I met him and I had to build up a strenght that I didn't know I had to support him when he needed.

When he went back to the US, he restarted his treatment(he was on paxil before coming to Brazil and now he's on seroquel, which is fantastic!) and hasn't had an attack or an episode in about 7 months.

His condition, in a way, got us and our families a lot closer to each other because we've proven how far we'd go to for this love we have! Of course he's been here for me when I needed too (SO many times... )

Dave's the most beautiful man I've ever heard of..... his mind is blilliant and he' so sensitive and romantic!!! (L) I love him and would not change a thing about him... well, only if changing meant him being free from what causes him pain sometimes. :star:

The only time I have anxiety attacks is when I have to deal with my phobia....FLYING!!! I hate it...My worst one was last year coming back from Italy and I always feel stupid about it. I get anxious a few weeks before a flight, I have bad dreams, drink more, and generally get depressed. I am flying next monday and feel sick to my stomach already...
