I am a Tanzanian residing in India since i was 10years age.I am in India since 1980 and never again been to Tanzania.

Now,i am scheduled for interview for IV in November at Mumbai,India and asked to present a "PASSPORT POLICE CERTIFICATE" ...i have submitted a Police Clerance Certificate to NVC. i dont understand what is PASSPORT POLICE CERTIFICATE?

Also,I have been living in India since the age of 10 and never left India except for short visits to UK and US...someone plz shed some light on the above...

Hi Neta... Dnt b panic.. even they asked me the same,,, the passport police clearance. this is the same document we collected from regional passport office. I am sure the passport office must provided u two copies. One we have to submit at NVC and other copy we need to carry at the time of interview... Mine is same.. i confirmed it with my attorney, so b calm...

Nov 09, 2011 : - PD
Nov 10, 2011: - NOA1
Apr 22, 2013: - NOA2

NVC:

May 18, 2013: - NVC Case no. assigned

May 18, 2013: - Received AOS via email

June 12, 2013: - Received mail, AOS shows paid ($88 and $230)

Aug 12, 2013: - AOS package and I-864 sent

Sept 20, 2013: - Case complete @ NVC

Oct 02, 2013: - Interview Letter Received

Oct 10, 2013: - DS-260 sent online

Oct 17, 2013: - Medicals done

Nov 12, 2013 Interview ( Approved)

Nov 13, 2013 : ISSUED

Nov 19, 2013: POE

Hi Neta... Dnt b panic.. even they asked me the same,,, the passport police clearance. this is the same document we collected from regional passport office. Mine is same.. i confirmed it with my attorney, so b calm...

thank you for the Reply...since i am a Tanzanian in India...(indian origin but never went to Tanzania since I came to India at the age of 10, ), i have to get my Police Certificate from the Office of District Regional Police ....i have that from the DSP Office..but although i submitted the PCC they are still asking for "PASSPORT POLICE CERTIFICATE"?

Did you submit the PCC to NVC?

-did they ask you to "A" Obtain A Passport Clearance Certificate at time of Interview

the guys Police guys are clueless as to what is Passport Clearance and how it is different from PCC?
