If this timeline exists, I'd love to see it! I think I sometimes miss the obvious on VJ. :)

I've seen where some folks say London is taking a LONG time to get interviews, but on quite a few timelines it looks like it was quick. I think the NOA2 til Interview can be misleading.

So what I'm looking at is an idea of the time between EVERYTHING done (all papers mailed in, medical done/sent) to interview date. Or even everything in and then packet 4.

I have a half dozen children asking me daily if Steven will be here in time for Christmas. It seems reasonable that he will - he can leave asap when he gets his passport/visa back - but they know there can always be hiccups.

10/02/13 - DS-260 mailed in
10/15/13 - CEAC Status Update (DoS couldn't say what triggered it, did say no interview assigned, but all docs are in)
10/23/13 - Embassy email states they do not have our documents. Poor Steven does 160 again.
10/23/13 - DoS says our case is still "processing" and not "qualified" (interview ready) and to do newest forms.
11/05/13 - CEAC Update. DoS says case is "eligible for interview" and we're waiting on next interview date.
11/08/13 - Another call to DoS (Chris is a nice guy!) and no interview scheduled yet.
11/12/13 - Another call to DoS and no interview scheduled yet.

That thread Nich-Nick is a pretty good place to guage the current timing of things. With the new systems being put into place, older timelines aren't really going to be quite as reflective of how things are going. I think if people give themselves 3 months from the end of getting everything to london including the medical, and the time they want to have their passport in hand, they should generally have time to spare. There will always be the odd cases though, so of course it's always better to keep everything flexible.

My thought with trying to make it for Christmas this year is that you should probably have everything in by now, if not, then very quickly if you don't want to have added stress. If you already have it all in, and there are no further issues, you should be fine

Thanks. It still looks like things are humming along for folks once it's all in, so that's encouraging!
