RFE - Mistakenly sent without Alien Registration Number

Hello,

We sent my husband's sealed medical exam given to us by the doctor. We have a copy for our records as well. The Alien Number section was left blank on the report by accident since we didn't have it on us and the civil surgeon doctor obvious didn't know it. We also discovered we forgot to send the cover letter along with it. Will USCIS still be able to locate our case? If so, will there be a possible delay with our case since we didn't have the A# listed? Thanks in advance.

Did you just send the exam without anything else? This was a response to an RFE? Did you send the RFE letter too, or just the exam? If it's just the exam, they might have trouble with knowing what to do with it and what it's for and how to match it up with your case. I guess wait and see if the status changes that they received your RFE reply, then you'll know they matched it up.

We were responding to a RFE. We had a cover sheet(letter) that was provided. It also had our Representative's name on it. We've notice that it stated for us to send the requested information along with the cover sheet(letter), of which we forgot to send. After the exam was done and the civil surgeon doctor gave us the sealed medical record along with our copy. We noticed that my husband's Alien Registration number had been whited-out because it was incorrect, therefore it was left blank. So we mailed the sealed medical exam to Immigration with our Representative's name on it. Our UPS tracking number shows it had been received. The only thing we are concerned about is that it did not having the A# listed and not having the cover letter attached as was requested.

I called USCIS and the told me it shouldn't be a problem but that they didn't have much information to give me. My question is: Will they still be able to locate our case being that we did not include the cover sheet (letter) and my husband's A# was not listed. The RFE was for the current medical exam, of which we sent, but not A# is the concern.

It's possible, wait and see. Check the status online. Does it say "waiting for RFE reply" now? If it changes to say that they received your RFE reply, then they matched it up.
