And here lies the problem. The only time it comes up is when white men are doing the killing. Case in point:

Chicago has been a war zone for years, same like DC, Baltimore, Oakland. The killings and crime going on there isn't recent, it's been there for some time now. But no one cared about it. It was practically ignored, until, Sandy Hook and Colorado. Now, the spotlight is right on Chicago. Yet, it's not that people care about the folks that lost their lives there. It's to compare the violence of white mass shooters to black people with guns. Even though a majority of spree killers are white, the argument is blacks kill more in disproportional rates than whites. It's like a slogan. Even though numbers show you'd be more likely to get gunned down by a white person on a shooting rampage, folks are armed to the teeth for the fear of black men. This is why some posters here love to talk about shooting TM rather than James Holmes or Adam Lanza, he's more of a threat than the two white guys walking who slaughtered innocent men, women and children. Yet he was the one unarmed, minding his own business before he was accosted.

Every single mass shooting thread when the killer was white, it only takes a few pages before Chicago or the black community comes into play. Why is that, when we're looking at your backyard? The usual suspects come in talking about murder stats, and where they most likely subside, almost as if those who lost their lives don't matter since in Chiraq they lose that in a day. Don't fear the white guy with enough weapons to level a city block, fear the black guy in a hoodie walking to the store, he's the bigger threat.

And that minority you speak of, there's quite a few of them here. At least Niblet is somewhat upfront with his feelings.

• Nearly 70 percent (69.7) of all adults (18 years of age and over) arrested in 2011 were white, 27.9 percent were black, and 2.3 percent were of other races.
• White individuals were arrested more often for violent crimes than individuals of any other race, accounting for 59.4 percent of those arrests.
• The percentages of white adults and black adults arrested for murder were similar, with 48.2 percent being white, and 49.4 percent being black.
• Juveniles who were black accounted for 51.4 percent of juvenile arrests for violent crimes.
• Juveniles who were white accounted for 62.4 percent of juvenile arrests for property crimes.
• Of the juveniles arrested for driving under the influence, 91.6 percent were white.
