Hi,

I am really starting to want to pinch myself.:dance: I got home today and found out that my visa package had spent 3 days at the NVC before moving on. Things are moving so fast my head is giddy with happiness. Now I am going to start looking at the postings about following the DHL delivery. Again thanks to all.

Scott

Scott,

Congratulations. You need to prepare the remaining documents and send them to Nadiya. The medical exam can be done a few days before her interview. Does she have her police report finished. Make sure you get any additional documents translated and certified for the interview. You unfortunately are running into the holiday season. The embassy in Kiev will be closed for both American and Ukrainian holidays, so the chance of getting an interview before the end of the year is pretty small. But, the embassy in Kiev can work quickly.

Check the U.S. embassy web site for Ukraine to download packets 3 & 4. You can help Nadiya get them finished. You are getting really close, so don't let a little thing slow you down. Everything that she needs can be accomplished in the next couple of weeks. If she has a friend in Kiev maybe she can stay there long enough to get the medical and interview finished before heading home. The embassy now sends the passport with visa to her home address overnight for a fee of $8. But, it still takes about a week to get the visa issued after the interview.

If you are planning a flight for her, check the timelines and give you and her plenty of time cushion. Good luck, you long wait is just about over.

Thanks for the info. I actually going to be spending Christmas with her. I e-mailed the embassy to inquiry if we can do this when I am there before our visa package is actually. I was wondering about the invitation letter for the medical. They said yes as the medical is good for a year. If I knew that things were moving this fast I would have not been going at this time. Rather when she needs to do her interview. I am taking all the documents and we are working on getting everything together in our folder. She will do her Police Certificate and the translation for it as we speak. After she does get her visa she wants to settle her affairs in Sevastopol and visit with her parents. We think that February is the date to finally come here. I still can't believe that all this waiting is starting to become a freight train roaring by.
