I am writing this and almost tear coming from my eyes. My fiance was denied Visa because she fail the interview. The guy ask her what is that I like to do for fun and she said hiking, and then he asked where do I like to hike? He asked her the place and she said she doesn't know because she never been to USA for her to know. Then he told her its denied because she doesn't know and how come she doesn't know at least that is what she told me. Am really crushed and so is she as she was crying. What is my option now should I travel and meet the embassy staff am not sure if its even possible or should I re-apply? Please help on what I should do as am very confused and hurt now. Thank you all and God bless you all.

I am sorry to hear that. But would you mind to filled in your timeline so other people can see? Probably some VJers here can shed light for you. I know how hard it is. I got denied for my B-2 visa a few years back and I cried like a river.cray5ol.gif .

Cat Lover,

what did yo after you got denied?

It was B-2 visa (tourist visa). I did not do anything or re-apply again. On the paper the CO gave me "consider file petition I-129F for K-1 visa". I wanted to apply again but I had feeling it just wasted money.

The trained CO did not believe you have a legitimate relationship, not knowing about hiking is one small part of a larger decision.

Concentrate on evidence that the relationship is real and refile....or get married and file a CR-1

Yes, you can get married in her country and file a spousal visa. I've never heard of someone getting rejected for not knowing about hiking in the US. There must have been something else that gave them a reason for denial. You should get a letter in the mail with the specific reason listed. It may be that they do not believe your relationship is real, or there is something fraudulent in the documents.

Maybe she never went to the interview and just made up that excuse. Do you regulary send her money?

Sad to hear, you 'll be okay. Need to get the real reason of denial, she'll receive a paper stating reason of not being eligible of having visa at this time. Let us hear more, when you feel a little better.
