People in other developed nations do pay for their healthcare in various different ways - taxes, insurance premiums, co-pays, etc. Nothing is free there. It's just that they pay less per capita to get health care services that reach their entire populations and produce outcomes similar to ours.

You really don't understand per capita healthcare expenditures, do you? On average, developed nations spend less than half per capita on health care achieving better results than we are.
