Let's be clear about two things: First, I think you are talking about the majority in one half of one third of the federal government. Second, that majority was actually put there by a minority of the voters. It's called gerrymandering. You should look it up when you have a minute.

But since you're into blaming things on past administrations, look up the total debt in 8 years for Reagan and compare it to Obama.

Reagan tripled the national debt during his two terms in office. Bush Jr. managed to doubled it during his two terms. Obama will neither double, let alone triple the national debt.

Quick math lesson for you. If you double 10 cents, you have 20 cents. If you triple 10 cents you have 30 cents. If you add 6 trilion to 10 trillion you have 16 trillion. So while adding 6 trillion to 10 trillion is not actually doubling or tripling anything, I'd argue that add 6 trillion in debt is worse than doubling a smaller number. See how that works. I know that's not in line with the DNC talking points, but it's pretty simple really.

And yet, most of the debt is there not because of Obama as Republicans and others falsely claim or other Democrats in the White House but because Republicans were busy racking it up. And look at them now. They're still burning to rack up more debt. They want to add more than 200 billion to the debt - so much so that they passed 41 votes in little over 2 years in favor of just that debt increase.

If you're gonna make that argument, then you should say that the federal debt stood at 289 billion when obama was born and will likely be somewhere in the $50 trillion range by the time he kicks the bucket. Then you can hold Obama accountable for that $49.7 trillion dollars in debt accumulated over his life time.
