OH NO;s OMG! We're doomed! The sky has fallen I am afraid to look outside! It is the end of time as we know it!

Actually, everything is just like it was yesterday and last week, The government will reduce its functions to what it SHOULD do.

And to think we are still in the suffering stage of the "sequester". Remember the sequester? The fiscal cliff we fell off of in January? Remember how that was going to cause doom and gloom? and NOW...this! More doom and gloom.

Good news! During the shutdown when Clinton was President (it was George Bush's fault) he met that sweet young girl, much less than half his age, Monica Lewinsky, and got some really good BJs which he coul dnot get at home...well at least not in the other part of his home.

Hopefully Obama will stop having his hissy fit and finally compromise with the House of Representatives the way he compromises with Iran, North Korea and Syria. I sent a letter to Putin asking him to tell Obama to get off it and talk to Boehner. Maybe if Putin tells him he will start to work Democratically.

For those of you that wanted Boehner, Sheila Jackson-Lee, Mitch McConnell, and Joe Biden in charge of your health care...YAY! You got what you wanted. You can look forward to this quarterly pissing contest for the rest of your lives! (it means that Nancy Pelosi also has control over your health care and she does not know the difference between the constitution and the Declaration of independence...WITH aids, writers, advisors a private aircraft and a teleprompter,... she gets it wrong)

But if you look at the polls, the rest of the country weren't just talking about the Tea Party. They were talking about both Houses of Congress. And they are spot on.

When you look at the polls more closely, the GOP and the House is getting the brunt of the blame. Most people understandably feel that House Republicans act like spoiled little brats.

The last time we have a government shut down we faced the same scenario: capricious republicans and their contempt for the American people.

Obama ran on the affordable care act. He was elected on that platform. Obama ran for a 2nd term on the affordable care act. He was re-elected. You would think the GnOP and the TB's would have caught on that, and yet, they have done absolutely nothing other than vote on the repeal of the ACA since they were elected.

It is Obama's fault only insofar as he thought it would be okay for him to get elected and re-elected. It is his being in the White House that has brought out the radicals, the fundamentalists, the extremes in the Republican party. For what we're witnessing here is not some stand-off between Democrats and Republicans or some stand-off between Congress and the President. No, what we're witnessing is a fight that takes place inside the Republican party. The President and the Senate Democrats have absolutely no leverage over the outcome of that fight. None.
