This is gonna sound weird but most of my distractions are things that I def. shouldn't think about during prayer ;) The more I try to keep out of my mind the more I get mental images of my husband in compromising situations and nude. What's wrong with me?

Actually I think that's fairly normal. I know I think about things at times when I shouldn't be and I just tell myself it's inappropriate and nudge my mind onto something else and let it go instead of making myself feel bad for it.

Met briefly in Baton Rouge, LA Nov. 2003 - not available :(

Met again in Baton Rouge, LA March 25, 2005 - 2 souls feel as 1

Sept 17-Oct 3, 2005 Noura goes to Morocco to meet family & friends of Said (informally engaged)

Daily phonecalls, discover internet chatting w/ video cam - OMG!!!

March 25-April 14, 2006 Noura's 2nd trip to Morocco - formal engagement w/ family

Oct 5, 2006 - Interview SUCCESS

Oct 12, 2006 - Called to pick up visa tomorrow!

Dec. 24, 2006 - Said arrives in NOLA, just in time for the holidaze!

Dec. 31, 2006 - OUR WEDDING!!! Ringing in a New Year as husband & wife!

Jan 8, 2007 - applied for SSN

Jan 15, 2007 - recieved SSN

Feb 6, 2007 - checks cashed for AOS/EAD/AP - YAY!

Feb 8, 2007 - NOA1 on AOS/EAD/AP

Feb 14, 07 - touched EAD/AP

March 8, 07 - Biometrics appt in NOLA

April 17, 07 - AP approved

April 19, 07 - EAD approved

Aren't we all naugty by now? :devil: Everybody's at work teasing me now, I feel like a nun surrounded by dirty-minded people. Today a guy at the store that's been flirting with me for a while (I didn't give him too many reasons), started describing the tomato I was buying there: 'silky smooth skin' blah, blah, blah.... I came out and felt like crying

I got a letter from senator's office a reply from NVC: "still under investigation" yesterday and cried my eyes out. It's been 'under investigation' for 10 months!!!

Back to distractions, that's mostly my two cats trying to get into the room - can't pray while they're in, tried that, didn't work...

Met online - May 2004

Filed I-130 - July 2005

Filed I-129 - August 2005

Interview - February 2006 - 221(g) - still under investigation.

Another useless interview - July 2006 - got nowhere!

August 23, 2007 - he's finally here!

Oh, no!!! More cat stuff! does your cat scratch at the closed door and whine when you shut him/her out??? One of mine does this always . . . and I never open the door to let him in to certain rooms so you'd think he would learn NOT to do it!! :P

Oh, and sorry to hear that the your case is still under investigation . . . I know that is hard at this time of year, particularly while you are bypassed by so many others. Take care, Insha'allah, you will hear better news soon!!

My son has a terrible habit of wanting to come and ask questions at prayer time. Most of my distractions (since I'm new) are..I hope I'm doing this right, and I worry that the phone will ring or something. The cats also like to come in and play with the tassles on the prayer rugs..silly kitties... do you smash'em or push them out of the way?... I'm also very much looking forward to seeing everybodies answers....

not really smash.. ... hehe... ... I just meant..do you pray over the top of them or do u move them out of the way. :lol:

I think the cats think we put the rugs down just for them to lay on......
