USC are allowed to join the beneficiary during the interview at USEM. In most cases, the CO will chat more with the USC than the applicants.

Is it possible for the petitioner to join with his/her principal applicant during interview?

I attended my wife's interview in Manila. I am almost certain that my being there helped with the approval. You see I am 56 and my wife is 19. The CO swore both of us in and asked me more questions than my spouse. The CO even stated, "SO YOUR SON (36) IS NEARLY TWICE THE AGE OF YOUR NEW WIFE?" I answered in the affirmitive and after a few tense moments she said to my spouse, " CONGRATULATIONS MAAM, YOUR VISA IS APPROVED."

I am not so sure if the visa would have been grated had I not been there, but you never know. Each and every approval or denail is at the whim of the CO, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Good luck and GOD BLESS,

Aloha Ke Akua

I think that this is allowed in the Philippines.

IMHO, not attending, especially when the opportunity exists is not advisable.

Though while not the Philippines but the interviewer reacted positively when she learned that I the petitioner was outside the embassy waiting. She spent time going through both my passports to verify the fact and was all smiles.

Gowan,

As usual great advice! Yes in the Philippines the USC can attend the interview. I did and I am quite sure it made a huge difference. Aloha and Mahalo for all the advice you gave myself and my wife along the way. She is here in Hawaii with me now for over to months. We celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary last week. Boy how time flies, except when you are waiting for that visa. Were it not for VJ and devoted members like yourself I am quite sure my beautiful wife would not be here yet. Thanks so much!

Have a great day and GOD BLESS,

Aloha Ke Akua

I'm sorry. I now see that you are an F2-A visa. I thought you were a CR-1 or K-1. My apologies. I need to pay better attention I guess...sorry about that.

Good Luck and GOD BLESS

My petitioner was with me during my interview. Everything went well, with him beside me during the whole process. He was also greeted and was asked some simple few questions.smile.png

What do we need to be able to join in the interview?
