Working on my DS-260. Wife is overseas in medical school. We got married over seas also. DS260 essentially asks twice to enter spouse's address (if youre filing CR1). Since she is a student, that puts her as 'temporarily out of US' category (as per my interpretation of i864 instructions), and I presume her permanent address is her family home in the US, where we initially plan to live for a couple of months. (She has provided proof of domicile etc in AOS).

So should I go ahead and enter her US address in both parts? I tried to enter her overseas address in the "Petitioner Information" part but it wouldn't let me fill in her overseas telephone# (needed one more character space), so I assume I would enter her US address & ph # here as well? Previously in my personal infromation, it asked my marital status and address of my wife and I entered her US address there as well. A little confused.

I would stick with just using her US address in this case as she's simply just studying overseas, not permanently living there.

Hello Saylin, In joint sponsor's I-864, at questions 13a-c he put last 3 years in the order; 2010 first then 2011 and 2012, is this correct or he should put 2012,2011 and then 2010?

It states right there on that question what to do. 13a is the most recent year, so 2012. 13b is the 2nd most recent year, so 2011. And 13c is the 3rd most recent year, so 2010.

If you missed this, you may want to go over the form again and make sure you've missed nothing else.

In Part 6. Sponsor's Income and Employment, please correct the following...

[x] Items 13.a.1. The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal

income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead.

whice income from IRS tax return should i use? total income or adjusted gross income?

Re-read the question, it says what to use right there.

If a 1040 was filed, then use total income. If a 1040EZ was filed, then use adjusted income.

You should really have the USC spouse deal with the AOS package as they should know all about tax returns.

My wife USC didn't file a tax return before, she took about 50 days to prepare AOS package with joint sponsor, and if she know more information on this matter, i should not be here asking about AOS package.

Now i have joint sponsor's tax return and i don't know what income should i use in the page which I'll correct

OK, i found that form number is 1040 in the 3 tax returns, so I'll use total income in page number 3, thanks.

I paid the IV fee yesterday and today am getting a new error message when I try to sign in, as follows: "Sign In Failed

The selected Case Number and Invoice Identification Number combination you entered do not match our records. Please try again or click on the Contact the NVC hyperlink if you have forgotten your Case Number or Invoice Identification Number."

Should I assume that this is another one of the typical error messages because they are inputting my IV payment info? It is definitely the correct info that I'm using to try to sign in. Triple checked it. Anyone else gotten this or recognize it?

Try closing the the internet browser all the way out. And open a new one! I had that happen to me once before and this seem to work.

Thanks jmack! That DID work. Now my IV fees show as PAID. Awesome!!! Both AOS & IV are paid. Now I'm just waiting on the hubs to send that packet. I guess it's going via FedEx tomorrow. Now we will hope for no checklist!
