That's yesterday, but I still haven't received an email about the checklist. Remember, it takes a few days to receive any emails from NVC. If you're positive that's the only thing wrong with the AOS package (I'd suggest calling and speaking with a few more representatives to confirm), then you don't need to wait for the email. Just print out the AOS bar-coded cover sheet from the payment portal, and mail that off with a corrected I-864.

Only thing I can think of is the Police Clearance Report but am not sure whether its required to send with civil documents.

Call and find out if necessary at this step or during the interview.

Thank you so much.

I am doing EP so I resubmitted the checklist through email. I made the correction on my laptop without having to go out and scan it. When I checked my sent email on my laptop and desktop, the PDF file seems fine. However, when I check it on my phone the correction doesn't appear. What do you think I should do? Should I do a scan and resend it or should I leave it as is?

I wouldn't rely on a phone, as they're not like desktops/laptops with all the necessary readers and codecs, and something might be messed up. If the correction shows fine on an actual computer, then it'll be fine for NVC. They don't look at paperwork on their phones...

Can I ask...why is a photocopy required for the marriage certificate and birth certificate? I just sent in certified copies of everything and certified translations. Would I get a checklist for not sending in photocopies of these documents?

Yup, an I-864 can be used, and in your situation, recommended. I'd only recommend I-864As to be used in cases of spouses. Any other situation and it makes more sense to use an I-864.

You can try calling USCIS and asking. It'll have to be the petitioner though, and you'll need the USCIS receipt number on hand.

Hi Saylin, just wanted to update, so I called USCIS and they told me that there's no A number assigned to beneficiary and that they dont have one on file...After being on hold for quite a while thats what I found out. And of course I found NOA2 after turning my whole place upside down just to see that theres actually no A number, the only one they have is A number for the petitioner. Thank you for your feedback,I was starting to go crazy:)

Photocopies of the birth and marriage certificate are included so the originals/certified copies can be returned back after an approved interview. You won't get a checklist for not including it, it's just recommended.

Haha, glad you found the original NOA2. I had an A number assigned to me before I started the process, so sorry I didn't catch that. I didn't know when "regular" beneficiaries got assigned A numbers, when they don't have them assigned before hand.
