If he lived in France for more than year since turning 16, a French report will be required.

Thanks Ryan. I had a feeling that was the answer. Well, if there is another delay...my beloved will have to go to Paris and get it. Poor guy (Not!)

Thank you...I didn't know what the rule was.

Hello, honestly i don't know what to do, I have the same situation as you, my wife has no income (0) and we have a joint sponsor, we didn't send AOS package yet, she is listed in her father's tax return, but in my wife's I-864 we don't know if we have to check the box on item no.13 part 6 or not, nor send her father's tax return in the package or not!!

Saylin, what's the proper act on that to avoid any checklist?

I'm not sure if you check question 13 (part 6) or not if the petitioner is a dependent of their parents. You'll have to call NVC and ask (and do this a minimum of 5 times as their answers may vary). But for questions 13a-c, definitely write in the years and then write 0.00 for all three boxes for income. Whether the petitioner has an income or not, those boxes need to be filled. You'll also need to include a letter explaining why the petitioner didn't file their own tax return (no income), and in your case, also about being a dependent of their parents' return.

Is the joint sponsor her parents?

Ok, just in case, I'd suggest sending a copy of her tax return (where she's a dependent).

As for the joint sponsor, have they filed paperwork to renew their green card? If so, have they received a NOA yet, stating their residency has been extended for a year?

I sent in certified copy of my citizenship. I don't have the link with me right now but there is a travel.state.gov page which lists requirements for IV applicants from Nepal. Found that link here in VJ. Will look for it and let you know.

You have to wait for status to be INVOICED smile.png

Probably a couple of days. Congrats on making it to NVC.

I read the documents required for Nepal, it states it is available and which is but does not mention anything about whether they require the original or certified or the photocopy. So, I called the NVC and spoke with a rep. she told me that it is not one of the requirements for Nepal. Should I trust her? Is NVC the same as USCIS where they give you random answers?

Yes, as long as there's no checklists.

For tax return I'll attach her father's tax also with AOS package,

I called NVC, and she said that my wife should leave item no.13 unchecked, and she also gave me your answer about joint's green card, but i asked her about my IV package and she said they're waiting AOS package first! Is this normal?

If he hasn't filed yet and his green card is expired, he could get deported. I'd be wary of using him as a sponsor if he hasn't filed yet. Time frames for receiving the NOA1 after filing vary by service center and current backlog, but it's typically received in 1-3 weeks.

Since AOS and IV are separate tracks, it doesn't matter which they receive first.

I got our Case number, Invoice Identification number and Beneficiary number yesterday and was asked to call today to update my cell phone number and also provide the email address which i did.

Couple of questions:-

1) Agent told me that they will send an email to the email address provided on the next steps. How long will that take? Haven't received anything yet.

2) I tried logging in to the CEAC web page with the case number and IIN and i got the message that Saylin has indicated in the first post of this thread. So i am assuming AOS bill is getting invoiced.

3) What is the latest trend for DS261 and AOS bill to be invoiced once you get your case number? Is the wait time about 1-2 days or weeks?

Thanks for the help.

Hey Folks... I have a problem and I'm now freaking out. I just tried to log in to check the status of my invoice (which was fine last night) and here is the error I got:

This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately.

My hubby just sent the email for DS-3032 today and we got the auto-reply notice. I am really freaking out. Anyone else gotten this??? I obviously believe I received this message in error...

Thanks!
