I was just informed the insurance premium for my wife and child will be going up over 50% Jan. 1. The company can no longer legally offer the policy they were on with a high copay. Thanks Obama for the AFFORDABLE CARE! The premium will increase from $335 to $506 per month for two healthy people. I will now have to reduce the amount of money going into retirement or cut back on spending elsewhere.

Some health insurance companies are using the ACA to fleece existing customers. Consider including your wife and kid on your existing policy or shopping around for better rates.

Adding them to my existing policy will cost over $850 per month. Again, this is for an eighteen month old child and 29 year old woman with no health issues. This is not affordable in my case. I actually don't know what I'm going to do other than cut back on expenses.
