Potential name concern (hopefully just paranoia)

Summary

My fiancee has two last names. Example. Sarah Anne Emily-Smith. The last name has a hyphen. For her entire life, she believed though, that she had two middle names. So she went by Sarah Smith. Passport had Sarah Smith. Etc.

Upon working on visa paperwork, she went to look at her birth certificate, It was there she realized her last name was Emily-Smith with the Hyphen and only one middle name. After researching the history of why her last name is Emily-Smith, but her younger sisters are just Smith, she decided to keep it out of respect for her mom. (parents are divorced)

Earlier when I was working on the I-129F, I asked the board which name should we use. The name on the passport without the hyphen and two middle names, or the name on the BC. They all recommended the passport name. However, since the fiancee wanted the hyphen name on the records, she decided to renew her passport to get that changed.

So again, we're keeping the Hyphen last name. All paperwork we filled out (the G form and the I-129F form) list the hyphen name as her actual last name, but just to be on the safe side (because again, she thought her name was Sarah Smith for 25 years) we put "other names used" as Sarah smith.

So we filled out all the paperwork, sent it off, and thought I was done. Until...the light bulb went on.

All the stuff she signed (again, she's been signing her name for 25 years now) she signed all the documents as Sarah Smith. And not Sarah Emily-Smith

Would that raise a red flag? I figure worse case scenario I get an RFE, but I'm thinking since we put it as other names used, my parents talk about her as other name used in letters confirming the relationship, and flight documents before she realized her last name had a hyphen have Sarah Smith, we should be ok.

Thoughts? Am I over worrying like a paranoia person?

Should she have signed the name as her actual name was, or signing as Other names used would be fine?

I figure since some people sign illegible, or only do 1 to 2 letters as a sig I'm fine, and just being paranoia.

But a confirmation I'm being silly would be nice.

Sign as she usually signs, that is her official signature and that may be different than what is on the BC. Mine is.

She will be fine signing her usual signature. My official signature is not my full name. And I've had no problems.

I do not think it will be an issue. My husband's signature is not even his name. It is a kanji character and a 'sort of' version of the first letter of his first name.
