I filed for a K-3 visa for my wife in May of 06. I just got a letter in the mail saying her case has been forwarded to the embassy in Bangkok. But when I looked at preference category, it says CR1? Does that mean she's going for a CR1 and not a K3? It looks like it takes a lot longer for the interview date than the K3. I was thinking she'd have her interview in 1-2 months, but from what I've read, CR1 interviews can take 6 months or more?? Does anyone know what all this means?

Brett Hamlin,

If you "filed for a K-3 visa" you have two cases going. Has your I-130 petition been approved and sent to the NVC? Has the NVC sent you any mailings with regard to the I-130 petition, and have you responded to those mailings?
