Guangzhou Consulate - K1

Ok so my fiancee finally had her interview last Wednesday. She was approved, but she needs to submit my I134 as an original and my 2012 Tax forms as originals so she can get the actual visa.

To be clear, the letter she got at the embassy says her visa is approved, they just need additional original paperwork.

Long story short, FedEx screwed up my overnight delivery of the 134 and the Tax forms. And because of China holiday, she cant get the package until October 4th and can submit to consulate on that day.

So, depending on the government shutdown, the consulate lady told her that after my fiancee submits the 134 and Tax forms and her passport, she should receive the visa within 10 business days.

I am pessimistic that it will really be ready in 10 business days.

Does anyone have experience with this.

How long might it really take?

I have booked my flight already and we plan to return to USA on October 24th. Can we get the visa by then? Is it realistic?

This sounds similar to our case (but I-864 original and 2012 tax docs) -

she submitted via CITIC last monday, it hit the door last thursday or friday, the ceac status changed to ISSUED/PRINTED on the 28th (a saturday) and as of 3 minutes ago, I not have any visible confirmation from that stupid ustraveldocs site that the passport has left the consulate.

So - I really can't forecast what'll work for you, but 'within 10 days ' of submittal via CITIC sounds plausible.
