Since they told you that they placed you in the oath scheduling queue, did your status change to say instead that they actually mailed you an appointment letter? If not, you're still in the queue, and if you're still in the queue, then you don't need to watch the mailbox like a hawk, they haven't mailed you anything tongue.png

That sounds like a long time. Does your status actually say they scheduled you for an interview and mailed you a letter, or does it just say you were placed in the scheduling queue for an interview?

On January 31, 2014, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was scheduled for interview. You will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed,

Haboush, it took about 10 days for our interview letter to come. Has there been a lot of snow and ice where you are? Perhaps there have been delays in mail delivery because of weather problems.

21 days sounds very abnormal to me for a letter to go from wherever they mail them from (I think it's Missouri?) to the Dallas area. At the very least you should call USCIS and see what they say but unless you get to speak with an actual immigration officer, all the people on the phone will tell you is the same thing you can read online yourself.

when they said that my interview has been set , dose that mean that they put the date for my interview already !!! dosent they usually give one month in advance , if i waited 30 days for the letter to come and called them after that im not gonna miss my appointment !!!

If your status says they mailed you a letter, yes, you have an appointment date set.

That being said, the status does say to call customer service if you haven't received your letter within 30 days, so since it hasn't been 30 days... I'm not sure.

No, you don't do it during the oath. You must simply fill this out and sign it on the day of your oath. You will hand it over before your oath.

Make sure to do it on the day of your oath.

I started doing it before my oath just to get it over with, but two of the questions gave me pause:

1) Did your marital status change (basically) ?

2) Did you get arrested or cited or whatever?

Well, it's a horrible thing to say, but my interview happened on a Thursday and I had my oath the next Monday, but between Thursday and Monday, my spouse could have died and so could yours (or you could get married between now and then, who knows). Or you could get pulled over by police for speeding or whatever. Anything can happen.

But you already filled out and signed your form ahead of time, against the instructions...

So yeah, don't do it before the day of your oath. Do it at the USCIS building while you're waiting for your oath.
