Had Oath today, it was 25 people and about 50 people (including me) as a support to the new minted citizens. The supervisor asked who served in services from the audience, one guy stood-up and mentioned that he has served in US Navy.

She thanked to him for his 23 years of service.

About 1 hr ceremony, my wife told me that it is quite a journey. Yes indeed...

She is US Citizen now.

My wife received an email from USCIS.

The status page says: On January 23, 2014, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was scheduled for interview. You will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview.

USCIS IR1/CR-1 CSC

02-24-2010 - I-130 Sent: February 24th, 2010

06-17-2010 - NOA2

Your I-130 was APPROVED in 107 days from your NOA1 date.

06-24-2010 - NVC Case Number Assigned

08-24-2010 - Sign in Fail - Case COMPLETE in 60 days

10-27-2010 - INTERVIEW Riyadh

11-27-2010 - VISA issued

01-06-2011 - POE JFK

01-27-2011 - Welcome letter

01-28-2011 - Green came via Priority mail

Hi All,

I would like to join the group. My information is below. Does anyone know why the Baltimore office takes so much more time than other field offices? In some parts it looks like 4 months in and out but for Baltimore we're looking at 6.5 months...just curious

Hi All,

Not sure that Baltimore is that far behind. If you look at the 20 applicants for the Dallas Lockbox, only 5 has recieved thier interview letter. So you are in the 3/4 majority as am I,,, still waiting!

I had my interview today, recommended for approval.

Interview with a very nice lady, asked me why I waited so long to apply. Then she went into Civics questions and English test (write "the flag is red,white and blue"). Civics questions asked (I don't remember the order), Ocean to the East, State bordering Canada, Capital of the US, Year constitution was written, What is Freedom of Religion, when must all men register for selective service. Stopped asking questions.

She then went through my application line by line (corrected a couple of errors), asked detail on my stated traffic citations, then checked through my passport.

She told me she would recommend me for approval and congratulated me. I asked about the oath, she said that would be about 4 - 6 weeks away.

I had my interview today, recommended for approval.

Interview with a very nice lady, asked me why I waited so long to apply. Then she went into Civics questions and English test (write "the flag is red,white and blue"). Civics questions asked (I don't remember the order), Ocean to the East, State bordering Canada, Capital of the US, Year constitution was written, What is Freedom of Religion, when must all men register for selective service. Stopped asking questions.

She then went through my application line by line (corrected a couple of errors), asked detail on my stated traffic citations, then checked through my passport.

She told me she would recommend me for approval and congratulated me. I asked about the oath, she said that would be about 4 - 6 weeks away.

Hi, if you don't mind letting us know what you answered to when she asked you why you waited so long? I'm a bit nervous for that question because I really don't have an answer other than "life happens and I didn't think of applying until now"...
