Montreal is making me OCD...

I never received my packet 4 but after constantly calling and getting no where I emailed them. About 3 weeks later I received an email from them that said they sent packet 4 AUGUST 5!! ranting33va.gif

Ok ok don't freak... so since then Sept 26th I have been compulsively checking every few mins on my smart phone and computer but only seeing this damn message that there are no appointments available at this time...

Meanwhile one of my other American friends married his phillipine g/f and didn't do any of this stuff ... ranting33va.gif trying to be happy for them but ... it seems like trying to go about this the right way is only dragging it out for a year...when I could have been with my fiancée this whole time...

On a related note do I need a hard copy of packet 4? does anyone know? All I have is this email saying that they sent it back in august....

I feel your pain... seriously. So many people with NOA1 dates of April/May/June who were approved in record time with NOA2 dates of June/July have interview dates or VISAs in hand already. Just because I applied in this black hole in March, our application took until mid-Aug to approve. And same... I received my Packet 4 on September 26th. On the 25th there were dates available for Dec 3-17 and now nothing since.

Its really starting to wear on me. How are people getting approvals in 36 days? But we can't fast-track those who waited for 6 months!!! Trying to be patient... but I'm just bitter and resentful at the process at this point. We have been doing everything 'right' for our whole 3 yr relationship... I know its not Montreal's fault, but I am tired of the distance.

Praying for something to become available... anything. I need something to look forward to.

And yes - you need Packet 4 letter to bring to your medical and your interview. I would contact them again and request another copy (preferably via e-mail - that's how I got mine).

I'm still checking compulsively as well :/ getting a notification that someone replied to this thred had my hopes up that someone finally got an appointment. Fingers crossed appointments come in soon for all of us to breathe easier. As far as I know you do need the letter from packet 4 to bring with you to the consulate. I received packet 4 by email...maybe you should try to request it be sent to you that way so you can print it off? I never did receive packet 3 that had been sent to me snail mail, so I was happy to see packet 4 in my inbox.

I thought the same thing... saw the update and thought someone got an interview. The wait continues...

:(. I guess I got in on a cancellation. Hopefully dates open up for everyone. I'm still checking often as I'm hoping for something a bit earlier, so I'll post again if I see availability.

Ahhhhh!! I'm so happy I'm not the only one going through this. What a joke this system is, it's so frustrating. I have been checking since mid-september and nothing. I am considering having my case transferred to Vancouver since they have a ton of dates. Has anyone had any luck with this?

Also, if there's some kind of messaging system going for interview date notifications, I would love to be in on it!!!

Thanks and good luck everyone!

....or should I say:

May the odds be ever in your favor!

Not happy - but I had to take something. Hoping for pre-December to pop up.
