Hi,

If your Visa has a multliple entry you can visit USA , if asked by the immigration officers you will require to give an explanation about your travel to USA.

Hi VJs friends,

I need your help for my question, will it possible to visit husband's (my petitioner) if we are under process of CR1-2 (after filling I-

30) visa by using tourist visa (I have tourist visa up to 2017).

You can not visit US while you I-130 application is under process !!!!!

Forcefully visit consider an immigration benefits which can create problem for your application !!

Thank you so much for replying my email, that what i m not sure, some people said I can visit if showing strong ties that I will return back to my home country and some people said I cant go as mentioned by F*S.

FYI... Next time try using the search box above, you'll be able to find answers to most of your questions :)

Now, to answer your question: YES, YOU CAN VISIT. Just be prepared to prove strong ties to your home country. You must convince an immigration officer you are not planning to stay in the U.S. and that you will leave the U.S. on time.

Evidence of strong ties: letter from your employer, mortgage, leases, etc etc.

USCIS: NVC:

6/21/2013 -Married in Stockholm, Sweden 4/16/2014- Case received at NVC

9/6/2013 -Priority Date 5/13 /2014- Case number and IIN assigned

2/25/2014 -Transferred to NSC 5/20/2014- DS-261 completed

3/31/2014 -Approved 5/21/2014- AOS fee invoiced and paid

5/22/2014- AOS package overnighted to NVC

5/28/2014- AOS scanned into the system

6/20/2014- IV invoice email (but fee still locked on CEAC )

6/23/2014- IV fee finally unlocked and paid.

IV package overnighted to NVC

6/30/2014- IV scanned in. DS260 completed.

7/1/2014- AOS accepted

7/2/2014- False checklist (AOS reviewed)

8/1/2014 False checklist (attorney's G28 reviewed)

8/2/2014 False checklist (NVC not sure why it was generated)

I am the beneficiary. 8/12/2014 CASE COMPLETE!

8/26/2014 Medical

9/2/2014 Interview... APPROVED!!!

9/5/2014 Visa in hand

Removal Of Conditions:

10/29- Package sent to VSC

11/1 - NOA1

11/17- Received biometrics appointment letter

11/30- Biometrics appointment

Since you have valid visa so no body can stop you from leaving your country .

This is same situation when you go for visa interview and try to convince to the officer that i will come back to my native country !!

In that situation you need to avoid traveling because if you fail to convince the officer will be consider the port entry refusal which is a big problem.

Being denied entry on B2 visa has no impact whatsoever on CR-1 process.

Where do you get all this information from? Provide the source.

Your two posts above is not only wrong, but can also cause confusion and unnecessarily raising the OP's anxiety.

It is unfortunate we see such erroneous info being given.

OP, you can visit while your I-130 is pending. See advise by Blueberry Pancake.
