It's anonymous polling dude. They don't scramble jets and raise the DEFCON status if an unknown anymous person admits to owning a gun because they don't actually know if the person answering the question is supposed to own it or not.

To answer your "access" theory: It has been pointed out numerous times (even among your own limp-wristed whining liberal ranks) that access to guns is easier than ever. Yet murder rates are falling. You have not, given fair data from legitimate sources, managed to explain this.

On the other hand you and your lib buddy are passing the discussion back and forth but have presented no data of value and offered no information of value except for your previously demonstrated erroneous opinions. Facts were discussed and you were challenged to go get some of your own (assuming you can read and understand them).

Now/again: Are you going to keep plucking fleas out of each others butt-hairs or bring in some data? Your grooming session is smelling up the room.

Your bull-shyt doesn't infringe on anything over here sport

How many people that are breaking the law, especially a law that carries a mandatory one year in prison, will admit to breaking that law, whether they remain anonymous or not? My guess is very, very few.

I have never claimed that murder rates are not falling. I simply claim that the numbers are ridicu8lously high compared to other countries similar to the US with stricter gun laws. The fact that murder rates are declining is great, but it's nowhere near enough. I'm not of the belief that any amount of civilian deaths is ok. There's always more that can be done.

As for facts, you have yet to post anything of substance.

Joining the flea-picking? Stats are stats. Are you now claiming that the stats do not reflect the truth? You are all invited to go get some stats of you own and show us all the way.

When everyone is armed the two guys that draw their weapons will cancel each other out like algebra.

It won't be that "suddenly" calmer heads prevailed. It will be gunfight at the OK Corral; only on steroids.

Look at all the domestic violence, road rage and workplace violence. Now look at it and arm all the combatants.

It won't be the calm exchange of words...in will be angry triggers a pulling and bodies hitting the floor.

But you dream on in your lead filled utopia.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

A couple broke into a Pennsylvania home and killed the woman's mother and brother before being shot to death by her father, the culmination of a long-running feud fueled by what a relative said Saturday was the woman's "hatred" for her family.

You are welcome to bring some facts, not made up facts or imaginary facts like bigdog, and make your own points.

I am very sure that the EU countries do have their own parts of the population that commit more crimes than others. There are also a lot of different groups represented in the referenced 86.9% - some are better and some are worse - but no group in any civilized nation on the planet falls to the level of the 13.1%.

Referencing their values and their choices and applying it to the rest of us might be a fine discussion among liberals at their cocktail parties but it isn't going to work out at all for you anywhere else.

and in 3 2 1 they will claim whatever source you quoted is invalid, insult you and move on, while claiming to have proven you wrong with facts

I'm not sure what type of rebuttal you're looking for. Your numbers are purposely skewed in your favor to attempt to make the point that you want to make. That's not logical or reasonable.

We each have a bag of apples, each bag has a percentage of rotten apples. I'm going to remove my percentage of rotten apples and then compare my bag of good apples to your bag of apples that still contains the rotten ones. Yep, makes perfect sense to me. rolleyes.gif

C. I have no idea idea how to respond to the overwhelming facts you presented, so I will just call you a nut job or insult you and move on, and claim I already answered the question. ( this covers the tin foil hat stupidity

Actually the percent of gun ownership is higher. If you factor in the millions of people that, we keep hearing buy guns off the record at gun shows the number has to be much higher

Dontcha think it's great that the dead daughter was coming in, to kill everyone in the house, to get the inheritance? That takes some planning, and forethought.

Tis a great thing the father shot them dead. Puts that feud over inheritance to rest, permanently.

Here is more data. Explain why gun deaths nationwide are still falling.

Because gun ownership rates are falling. I've said this several pages ago and cited these numbers. Household gun ownership rates in the low 30% range. Personal gun ownership rates even lower. These rates have been declining steadily for 4 decades and so have the gun deaths. As I said before, that's not a coincidence.

The ATF tables (which match the Gallop poll) that I posted earlier trump your little homemade spreadsheet. Sorry sport.

Look - someone put your silly little spreadsheet right beside the Gallop numbers! LOL. Now I am puzzled - which makes your table look stupider? The Post Article or the babble that you attach to it. What do you think?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2012/12/19/a-gun-ownership-renaissance/

Hell - even 40% of DEMOCRATS are self-reported gun owners as of 2011.

My "homemade spreadsheet" happens to be a chart that was extracted from the very link YOU posted. Wassup sport?

Yeah. You did READ that article right? LOL

i don't get it.

Yeah but I checked the numbers against an independent source.

Independent source? Care to share your independent source?

I have four surveys. Three of them agree and one does not. That one would be an outlier. Happens to be Gallup. ;)
