Thanks, SunnyCalifornian and VickyP for your responses. I will try to call again after 6 months if I don't have any updates before that. Hope I and all the rest who are still waiting will hear good news very soon.

And congratulations on all recent approvals.

There is one thing you can do, but it is time consuming some times, and I would only do so after 6 months have passed and there is not even an RFE or any type of notice. The US citizen spouse can contact his (or her) Congressman and/or Senator and fill out a format explaining the need of help with USCIS. Go to the Congressman's or Senator's website for more info.

Naturalization Journey

Oct 07, 2014: Sent N-400 packet.

Oct 14, 2014: Received email and sms text that my N-400 application has been received as well the receipt number of my case.

Oct 15, 2014: Check cashed.

Oct 17, 2014: Received NOA. NOA Notice Date is: Oct 10, 2014

Oct 27, 2014: Received yellow letter: Pre-interview Case File Review. (Does NOT mention date of interview.)

Nov 05, 2014: Biometrics were done.

Dec 05, 2014: On-line status updated: In-line for interview.

Dec 29, 2014: On-line status updated: Interview scheduled; notice was sent by mail with the date.

Jan 03, 2015: Received Interview Appointment Notice. Interview date: Feb 02, 2015.

Feb 02, 2015: Had my interview. I.O. verbally said, I had "passed" and should receive the Oath Ceremony notice within 90 days. I.O. did not give me anything in writing.

Feb 05, 2015: On-line status updated: Oath Ceremony scheduled; notice was sent by mail with the date, time and location of ceremony.

Feb 07, 2015: Received Oath Appointment Notice. Oath date: Feb 13, 2015.

Feb 13, 2015: Oath taken. Received Naturalization certificate. Became a US Citizen!

ROC Journey

Nov 04, 2013: Sent I-751 packet.

Nov 08: Received NOA1. Receipt date: Nov 05, 2013.

Nov 16: Received Biometrics appointment for Dec 02.

Nov 18: Succesful walk-in for Biometrics: Done.

Mar 02, 2014: We relocated within the same city, but to a different zip code. Filed change of address of I-751 case pending and AR-11.

Mar 24: Approved!

Mar 31: 10-year GC arrived in the mail.

AOS Journey

Aug 12, 2010: Entered US with K1 visa.
Aug 13: Married.
Aug 16: Sent AOS, AP & EAD package by Fedex to the Chicago S. Dearborn St. address.
Sept 10: AOS case transferred to the California Service Center.
Sept 18: Received hardcopy letter that my AOS case was transferred to the CSC on Sept 10.
Nov 01: AP approved. EAD and AP are available on-line for the first time.
Nov 06: AP received! and Biometrics appointment notice received (scheduled for Nov 29).
Nov 29: EAD card production ordered. (My on-line status jumped from Initial Review to Card Production.)
Dec 10: EAD card received.
Mar 10, 2011: First RFE from the CSC. They lost my I-693! Had to re-do it.
Apr 15: Another RFE from the CSC. Bona fide marriage evidence. We provided the requested documents.
Sept 03: Received Interview Appointment Notice. Interview scheduled for September 27. Finally!
Sept 27: We had our interview. Very easy straight forward questions. Officer needed further processing for our case.
Jan 05, 2012: Case status update - Decision: Approved.
Jan 09: Received letter in the mail with Notice of AOS Decision: Approved.
Jan 10: Case status update - Card Production Ordered.
Jan 13: Green card arrived in the mail. Done with AOS!

Also, just had a thought, I am in the UK right now and will return back to WA 3/31/14 so likely my new card will have arrived in the mail by then. I'm guessing I will still need my old card and the extension letter. I don't really want my wife sending my new card to the UK. Does anyone have any experience of this? Thanks in advance!

I got yesterday the magic email!!!

"On March 13, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

I hope the rest of you get your approvals soon!!

My husband applied for his second green card on October 18, 2013 (California Service Center). We bought out tickets to go visit his parents in June. When they sent us receipt notice that they received our paperwork, it says that t his old GC has been extended for one year but only for travel and something else. We`re hoping it will arrive before we leave :( it`s scary to travel on the old one, how does it even work? do we just bring along the letter that states that... Did any of you go through this???

You need to travel with the GC and the letter. I traveled last December and everything went well. Make sure to make a copy in case you lose the original

Bad news! I am sorry my forum may be confusing but I am really stressed out. I dont know what to do now

I recently asked how long it will take to get this green card, because we bought tickets to go visit my husbands parents.:/

However, today I got an notice "Request for Evidence". The letter is so confusing! It has list of all evidence of good faith marriage and another part is INCOMPLETE application :'( i accidentally missed to check off one of the boxes for martial status. I feel so dumb, i dont know how i skipped that or if it was my computer acting dumb. They included a copy of this page ... however they also had allllllllll this along with that "evidence of good marriage".

"The conditional permanent resident filed a form I-751 with out office. The CPR provided some evidence of martial bona fides. However, the documentation is insufficient because it does not cover the whole time period of the marriage and does not provide the evidence to make a final decision of this case. See below for specific information...Such examples may include, but are not limited to the following...

- copies of insurance policies, i dont have any as of right now because we sold the car. However, we never cancelled the insurance we only suspended it for a while till we get a new one. we are still in the system! I can

I am going back to my agent and have them write a statement and sign it!

- copies of credit card statements-- I already did this ! i provided a couple of statements from each year what else do they want :'( plus I provided a letter from the bank saying that we own an account together

- copies of rental leases ( we live with my brother because I am still in school. Is there a way that my brother can write a letter saying that we live with him and notarize it?

- copies of utility bills-- we don't pay for anything in the house :/ maybe i can have a statement from my school, and write a letter that I am a student ...

- statement saying that I am a student at NPU. and a letter saying we don't have any utilities that we pay, because we live with my brother. Therefore, have my brother write a letter that we live on his address and NOTARIZE IT.

- i can even send our new airline tickets that we bought

- i can go back to my insurance agent and have them write a statement that we still have an account its just frozen till we get a new car. Also have them write down what date we opened an account with them...

-- I am wondering, maybe all they want is the missed part on the application ??? somebody please help me

I would say they are looking for life/health/ad&d types of insurance policies as well. Also, traveling wasn't a problem with us - they didn't even look at our extension letter (I'm sure they have the extension information in their computers at customs).

I submitted hubby's I751 on October 14 and received the dreaded blue paper -- an RFE on February 19. Im confident that I submitted all needed documents, I'm just trying to get a sense of processing time with the RFE. Has one else received an RFE? How long did you (or have you been) wait for the next step or response.

Same here, we got it yesterday! what are they asking for ??? they want more evidence from us its driving me nuts! and dont even bother calling that number on the blue paper because they did not help me at all! they have no idea.. she told me to go find an attorney ? seriously? is it necessary...i would understand i need an attorney if my marriage is for immigration purposes. I believe i have sent them so much stuff :( what did you guys decide to send?????

I provided the original packets with the following additions:

A variety of bank statements dates 2011, 2012, and 2013.

our 2013 tax return (I originally provided 2011 and 2012)

I add the deed to our home that we purchased two week ago along with the mortgage application

I add my drivers license (a big missing item)

a letter from my employee indicating that hubby is on my health insurance

Flight reservation from our last trip to Jamaica, Canada and California

The confirmation from our honeymoon hotel

the invitation and announcement of our son's baptism with receipt of payment

A medical letter from my doctor that indicated my husband as my caregiver.

I also added pictures

I'm confident in my updated packet my concern/interest is in the process time...any insight?

i think it depends on each case. I have seen people get approved in couple of days, some take 2-3-4 weeks..months to get approval ( my biggest fear).
