Congrats nusanti. Did you get any e-mail/text alert or just the approval letter in mail?

Thank you very much. I didn't get an email or text this time. Not sure why. Maybe I haven't updated my phone number?

I received a card production email today! I'm hoping that already means approved since when I checked my case on USCIS it didn't indicate any status but the card production message. I also just got the alert on my email even if I have the mobile alert "on", so it's worth checking the email more often. Anyway, I'm just thankful that this is the first time that I didn't got an RFE since K1. :) Speedy approval to everyone!

GAR,

You can also considering submitting any car registrations & insurances bearing both of your names.

Did you case status on USCIS website change to "RFE" from "Initial Review"? Just curious to know.

I think RFE stays initial review.. When I applied for the greencard first time it stayed initial review when I got my RFE

As far as car registrations, neither our cars are in our names. I don't think it would be a good idea to change the registration today.

ROC Journey
Oct 18 2013 - mailed my package
Oct 21 2013 - received NOA1

Oct 23 2013 - check deposited
Nov 18 2013 - CRI89 transferred to California Service Center

Nov 25 2013 - Biometrics in Metarie, LA

April 14 2014 - Card production ordered :) !!!!

We did not submit anything to do with vehicle registration or vehicle insurance as others in these forums have done. While these documents may help to support your case as part of a larger package of evidence, I'm not of the opinion that it is a key component of approvals.

You should definitely have included the vehicle registration, as that shows co-mingling of financial asset. A car is a 2 biggest purchase a average person makes after a house, so if your both are on it i would say include that for sure.

We didn't and we were approved, and no questions asked, and I don't think it was a matter of luck. We submitted other evidence of financial "co-mingling".

Just coz you were approved doesn't mean its not important it just means your other evidence enough

Guys, I had an infopass appointment today to make sure my address is properly updated and to ask few other questions. One of the questions I asked was about the processing times especially in the cases when it gets transferred from one service center to the other (like mine got transferred from VSC to CSC). The lady said that time starts from zero when the new service center gets the case. So if you file to VSC in January, and the case gets transferred to CSC in say March, the six month period will then start from March instead of January. I was surprised/disappointed to hear that honestly. Also something she said that made me even more disappointed was .. (in her words) "These I-751 cases usually always take more than six months and people have to wait for a year or even longer. Its just because we get tons of applications" I was like.. #######!, are you kidding me. Kinda losing hope now! : /

Hi everyone! Congratulations to all the approvals :D

We received an RFE letter today. I knew it!! Hahaha

It is dated February 10th. (Can somebody update the chart for us, please? :) )

Gar, let us join the team RFE ;)

We are going to call and ask them what we can provide, because we don't have any of the things they listed.

We don't have a joint account, we don't have any car payments, the lease and all the utility bills are on my husband, we don't have any children at this point, we don't have joint credit card.

Only thing we can think of right now is to have our neighbors to write a letter.

Or just tell them that they are always welcome to visit us, and schedule an interview with us?

Anyhow, not having the things they listed is just how we are, so we will have to see...

Look at the stats in the timelines section and the text timelines in this thread. It is a much better picture that what the USCIS person "reported". Not saying some cases might not take a year, but a lot take much less.

I am not much worried about the time frames more I am confused and irritated about the inconsistency in the system but oh well again...can't change anything about it ;)!!!

In my experience every IO says completely different things, but yes the AVERAGE processing time is 6 months, so it can take 2.5 months or I guess up to a year or more. I've even heard cases where an N-400 application is sent before the I-751 is approved! A change of address while a pending application will likely delay the application, mostly because of an RFE and/or interview. But, who knows. You never really know.
