Hi all,

I submitted my I-751 application to remove conditions on my GC back in October 2013 to VSC (got transferred to CSC in late November 2013). Now, my lease is up on Feb 20th and I have to go on an overseas assignment for four months in late Feb too. I was thinking of changing the address to my mother-in-law's address (and her name in C/O field). Will that raise any flags and may result in a potential RFE? (we submitted tons of evidence with our application though). Also, more importantly, any idea how long does it take to get the address updated in USCIS system? I want to avoid a situation where they mail me at the current address long after the lease is up and it gets undelivered because I-751 cases don't typically get updated online from what I heard. What will be the best way to change the address? Online through USCIS website or AR11 form(?)?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I don't think changing an address will raise any red flags. They look at the evidence and since you sent a lot than I'm sure it will not be a problem. Edited by CaliforniaGuy

Wow....Lucky you! I am assuming your case was never transferred? Congratulations!!!!

California filer here...didn't get transferred.

So the text and then email notifications came like 30 seconds apart.

Looking forward to my new card! Perfect for Europe vacay! Very happy!

Thanks CaliforniaGuy for replying. Can someone also address the issue of "how" in regards to changing the address. Online or AR11? Does my USC spouse also need to fill something to change address (she wasn't the one who filled the affidavit of support during I-485, my MIL was).

Also I have heard that updating the address via AR-11 doesn't update the address on your pending I-751 application. If that's true, whats the best way to make sure all I751 related docs are mailed to the new updated address?

Appreciate your help!!
