You will get a letter, which may state that it is transferred to CSC. But I still think it is really at the LO near to you working under the supervision of CSC, like all our cases that have been transferred out of VSC.

I just received the letter saying that it's been transferred to CSC. Just curious, is there any way to tell for sure if it's actually at a local office?

I am an october FILER, pls i need a candid evaluation of the evidence i submitted for my case if its sufficient and the chances of getting an RFE :

Joint Bank Account [2011-2013] : transaction page for end of month for 2011, mid month 2012 and current month 2013 at time of submission]

Joint Tax returns [2011 only, i didn't file 2012 due to financial reasons and plan on doing it this year :(]

Lease Agreement with both our names [2011-present]

Medical Insurance card with spouse as dependent

Statement of 401(K) stock options with a LETTER from company stating spouse as beneficiary for my Life Insurance, stock options , and AD&D insurance

2 Letter of Affidavits [ I know this carries minimum priority]

To be honest, if this is not sufficient enough then i don't know what is. And can i mention i was on H1-B before adjusting my status after marriage.

Looks like you included all the important stuff to me, but you just never know with these people.

Hi everyone,

Is it normal when your case is transferred to local USCIS?

I got the update that my case was transferred to local USCIS as well, but the notice letter I just received says it's been transferred to CSC.. You'll probably get a letter as well.

Hello I am new here, I will join October filers and if somebody can update info for me would be appreciated.

I don't know about the implications of the G-56 (if anything), but I googled it and it looks to be USCIS' general call-in form.. whatever that means. I'd be happy to add you to our list, but I'll need the date you mailed your petition and the notice date printed on your I-797 :)

My online case status says transferred to a local USCIS also. I think maybe we can call to find out where exactly the case is. But i wil assume the hardcopy notice letter is golden! So if its at CSC, then that is where it probably is except maybe you get another letter stating its at your local USCIS office.

Hello,

I just joined VJ a yesterday because of a google search about a CRI89 notification I received in the mail about it being transferred to California Service Center after I filed at Vermont Service Center.

I applied for the ROC on 10/18/13

NOA received on 10/21/13

Biometrics appointment is scheduled on 11/25/13

The thing that's boggling my mind is that the transfer notice is dated 11/18/13

How is it possible that it says CRI89 Approved Removal of Conditions in the case type and I still haven't done my biometrics???

And does this up the chances of an interview or approval without an interview?

ROC Journey
Oct 18 2013 - mailed my package
Oct 21 2013 - received NOA1

Oct 23 2013 - check deposited
Nov 18 2013 - CRI89 transferred to California Service Center

Nov 25 2013 - Biometrics in Metarie, LA

April 14 2014 - Card production ordered :) !!!!

Welcome to VJ! It's indeed interesting that your transfer notice says that even though you haven't done your biometrics yet. This article on the USCIS website explains the wording on the transfer notices to mean that the biometrics portion has been successfully transferred.

Either they are just using this case type for all the transfer letters now, someone made a mistake, or you've done biometrics recently enough that they already have your "current" prints/photo in the system.

You could ask about it when you go for your biometrics appointment and see what they say (please report back if you get an answer!), but it has nothing to do with whether or not you get pulled for an interview later as according to the article I linked above, they haven't even looked at your petition at the time of the transfer.

Thanks you.

That's why I'm confused, I haven't had biometrics in two years, since I received the conditional GC. I really hope they didn't mess up to cause a delay on anything. :/

I wouldn't worry about it too much at this point. I've read of a similar situation as yours in another thread, unfortunately I haven't been able to find it again to see what happened in that case. :(

I would say when you go to your biometrics appointment on monday, take that transfer notice (and maybe even a print out of the USCIS article) with you and clarify the situation with someone in-person. It's probably just a part of a general letter they send to everyone, but better to clarify that there wasn't a mix up somehow.. You're going to be at USCIS anyway, so might as well ask someone about it, right?

received another status update tonight by email/text:

Your Case Status: Initial Review

The CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

The wording here is somewhat different from the notice i got on 11/18 which said :

Application Type: CRI89 , PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Your Case Status: Initial Review

On November 18, 2013, we transferred your CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

This is just so confusing......anyways..... whatever!!!!!

Sounds like your letter is most likely going to say CSC (though some have speculated that it may actually be at your local office under the supervision of CSC). My status also changed from "to your local office" to "at a USCIS office". Wherever it ends up, the good news is that in the last few months they seem to be adjudicating these transfers in a pretty timely manner.. Fingers crossed!
