Added us to the California list... sure hope I did that correctly! If not, please feel free to edit / delete if necessary.

Looks like we're in the exact same boat with HEIDIDL on dates. Not looking forward to the 2.5 hour drive to biometrics next week, but so happy to be getting this show on the road! :)

Best wishes to all for a speedy ROC!

Yes, we are! We drove to the service center for 2 hours today to get the biometrics done. :)

Just wanted to update the October group that some of the August filers are just now beginning to see a few approvals. That's encouraging!

Also it seems people are receiving their approval letters from local offices rather than from CSC or VSC (unless that happens to be your local office). Unsure if this indicates that final approval is "stamped" at the local offices or if the cases are just routed from CSC. There is a good post by Ivriesling (post #449) over on the August filers' thread that discusses the current approvals.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/440263-i-751-august-2013-filers/page-30

It seems that based on the May, June and July threads that many people are approved 6-8 weeks after the biometric appointment (barring any long RFEs or unforeseen circumstances). Of course there are many of those whose wait is has been much longer than 8 weeks, and even a few who seem to fly through the process and have green card in hand within 5-6 weeks post biometric appointment. Just thought I'd update the group that things are moving, albeit slowly, but eventually we'll get there.

Just figured out that we are October filers. Someone in the November group very patiently explained to someone else the difference between a receipt date and date received. Is the NOA receipt date what is wanted in the timeline?

Hi Geode,

The NOA 1 date on the spreadsheet is the receipt date indicated on the very first letter (I-797 written at the top of the letter) you received from USCIS after you filed the I-751. This letter has a "receipt date" in the upper right side of the letter. This is the date (and time) that USCIS acknowledges the receipt of your I-751 package.

Drove 2 hours to my biometrics appointment this morning. Was in and out in 20 mins. Everything went smoothly except for when I was gently chastised about not having my green card on me because I had decided to stash my purse in the car so I only had my photo-ID and appointment letter. If any of you who have yet to do biometrics are thinking about doing that, grab your green card as well! blush.png

It's great to know that it could happen that quickly for some (if not all) of us! Thanks for the heads up. good.gif

Several other updates saying my case was transferred to a local USCIS office and received at a local USCIS office. I called the USCIS hotline and it says my file is currently at the local office in Saint Albans, VT.

From reading the other threads on the forum, I'm guessing it will eventually make it to CSC. I'll update as I get more information. :)

You will get a letter, which may state that it is transferred to CSC. But I still think it is really at the LO near to you working under the supervision of CSC, like all our cases that have been transferred out of VSC.

Well, we did the biometrics today. I knew from reading here that the OKC location were sticklers for the appointment time and wouldn't let us go in too early. We ended up getting there 30 minutes early so we tried to go in anyway, but were told to wait until 15 minutes before the appointment time.

We left and came back in 15 minutes before our time, but it turned out that there was some sort of order for those waiting around that we weren't aware of. So we waited until everyone was in and then we were able to go in.

The process was straightforward and we were out of there in less than 15 minutes. Thankfully it was less than a 20 minute drive to get there. :)
