USCIS approved my petition on August 13, 2013. I've been calling NVC and they have not received the petition yet from USCIS and allow up to 8 weeks. I cant wait that long because other people received theirs after few days and this my more than 6 weeks of waiting. I call them everyday and emailed them one time on 09/25/2013, NVC advised to scan and email the approved petition and they will contact USCIS on my behalf. Still waiting for their responds. does anyone has the same situation?cry.gifsad.png

If you cant wait that long the USC will have to cancel the petition and start over so you will just have to endure what many of us have had to do as well. This is very frustrating and does happen sometimes.

You "can't" wait that long because "other people received theirs after a few days"?

Why does what possibly happens to others dictate what you are "capable" of doing or not doing?

Lots of people wait a long time. If you absolutely lack the capacity to do so, perhaps this process isn't for you.

You can't, but you must wait. Nobody likes to wait and some wait years. So be happy your time is coming to an end.

Plan on the 8 weeks.

I would encourage you to choose your words more carefully rather than condemn those that respond to them. I would also suggest to you that you put yourself in this position by entering into the immigration process which is lengthy and must be endured. Try to stop calling every day ect it just makes it worse.

My own case took 408 long days so if you get your visa before that much time has elapsed consider yourself lucky.

Our petition took 3 months from NOA2 to NVC receipt. It took a lot of inquiries for them to locate the petition and someone to personally mail it. I'm not sure what they did on their end but we got the "Sending to NVC" letter in the postal mail, but they instead sent it to our local USCIS for no reason. It took about a month to get someone to locate it and this was due to their 30+ day inquiry periods.

I would say at least have them locate the petition. If they can confirm it is still at USCIS inquire as to why. Had I not been persistent we may have been stuck at USCIS even longer as nobody would have known ours was mistakenly sent to the local USCIS.

Just one piece of advice, don't base your petition timeline off of anyone else's. There are people who filed their I-130s the same week I did and they have not even gotten their NOA2s yet and we have our interview tomorrow.

Do what we did and call USCIS and ask them when they mailed the petition, after approval USCIS holds it for 20 business days (is what they will tell you). We called 20 days after approval because NVC had not receievd it yet and they said they sent it the day before we called. So the next day NVC received our petition. If you call and get a date that it was mailed from USCIS to NVC it will give u estimate when NVC will receive it. Hope this helps and good luck

you could certainly find out if the casefile was pegged for NRC or NVC, via interaction with an Immigration Liason Staffer Human at a Congressman's office.

Sure, you'll have to sign a privacy release form, but once they have that (suggest to fax and email a scan of it) then that human can see whats what.

I assume you are relying on PD being current and wanting to start the NVC doc intake process, nowish.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Being jeolous that other people are getting theirs within a week or a few days doesnt do you any good. If you cant wait than tell your fiance to cancel and start over and maybe yours can be within a few days too, this is ridiculous if you dont want people to lash out on this than pls choose your words wisely as this is ridiculous( cant wait that long) shocked.gif .
