We stayed at Lincoln House. It's in a converted house. Small rooms and no elevator but it didn't feel creepy. They kept our luggage all day after checkout time.

This map shows some cheap hotels in relation to where the medical and embassy are. Touch the name in the list on the right and it will locate it on the map. http://www.click2map.com/maps/nichnick/Embassy_London

You can move or zoom the map.

That may be where reception is and the breakfast room which wasn't creepy. It was confusing to us because we thought we were going to a hotel. But inside was more like the foyer of a grand old house. No check in. Finally noticed a sign saying go downstairs. It was little more than a podium tucked in a corner in front of a closet. And our breakfast the next morning was down there too. Maybe they moved reception up to the street level and your room is that closet :P

I remember the "closet" behind their check in because we wanted to leave our luggage, phones, etc there while at the embassy. He said to leave them right there beside him against the wall. And I said "No, everybody leaving this breakfast room or checking out walks right by here. You put them out of sight in that closet.". And he did. They were very nice. We went back and collected our phones and camera, but left the luggage the rest of the day while we did tourist things in London and had a nice dinner. (that was interview day, so we left everything not allowed in the embassy at the hotel instead of Gould's)
