Provisional waiver is for the illegals who are already in the US. so they don't have to go home and wait for their waiver

They don't have to go home while the waiver is pending. After it's granted though, they have to go back to their home country for consular visa processing.

They need an approved I-130 before filing for PV.

Little update here,

Post Decision Activity

On October 21, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

So it is taking the NBC about 5-6 days in order to ship the approved file, after approval.

Nevertheless, the fact that you asked for an expedite (and were granted one) does not make your case a reliable benchmark for the rest of us.

It is still good to hear that Overland Park is working and not parking all the petitions form the over(theseas)land people... ;)

Ok, so her petition was indeed sent to Overland Park, but was approved at... Lee's Summit.

NOA1 6/16.

Now I wonder whether she was approved already cause she (beneficiary) is in the US and will be filing for Provisional Waiver?

Wouldn't be too surprised...

To this day I still don't know if my expedite was "granted".

2.5 months for an expedite seems really long. I tend to think that my case was pretty straightforward and thus got approved quicker.

Mid-may filer approved yesterday.....

Will let you know when I get my NOA2 hardcopy.

Yea, there should be a separate thread for filers who's spouse is already in the US. For some reason, they seem to matter more than the petitions whos spouses are overseas.
