As I documented in this regional thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/457040-uscis-name-change/ , I managed to get NOA 2 approval yesterday. Woo Hoo! It took all of 2.5 months. I don't know if I got lucky, had a special circumstance (I'm a government employee) or they are speeding up their processing, but either way - THERE IS HOPE! Hang in there everyone waiting.

I don't think it is something to do being a government employee. My fiance is in the military but I am sure our I-129F won't have special circumstance to speed up the process. Good luck for the next step.

congratulations :) and i agree with Girl from Celebes, I don't thing being a government employee grants anything special or speeds up the process (I, USC, am a government employee and we've gone through all the same channels as everyone else and none too quickly :) Just luck of the draw ;) Wish you the best and speed on the remainder of the process :D

Almost there but still as impatient (if not more so) as we were at day one! ;) That's a good idea, would be cool to meet up with others. Only people that have gone through this process can truly understand what it's like.

Just hang in there, your time is coming. From what I can see, some folks are getting through a little quicker, I hope that you are one of them! :)
