Hi, I hope someone can help me. I saw that other dutch applicants didn't need to get a VOG for he dutch police records and that the embassy was going to take care of this.. But after I got my packet 3 and when I send the checklist back they emailed to ask if I got the VoG too! So now Im confused cus I thought I saw that the Embassy was going to take care of it.. Does anybody know if they changed the process now? I already applied for he VoG and had to pay 30 euros for it and now it will take up to 4 weeks till I get it :( sucks!!

Hi,

I am guessing that you are the Dutch beneficiary, I did this 2 years ago and did not need a "Verklaring van Goed Gedrag" maybe things changed. Can you give them a call to explain, maybe members who had their interview this year can tell you more.

Good Luck

In order to get a police record there is nothing YOU can do. Like you said the Consulate is the only one that can do it. I had my interview at the end of June this year and there was nothing I had to do. But indeed maybe things have changed.

I suggest you write the Consulate in Amsterdam an email and ask them what you really need to do.

Don't forget to give them your case number.

Good luck!
