Hi guys,

My fiancée called the DOS two days ago and we were given Oct 8th as our visa interview in London.

I called to double check today, the lady first checked our case and said we had no interview date. When I questioned we were given Oct 8th, she said the systems were down, but she'd check another database. After a minute on hold, she returns and tells me our interview is now October 1st?! I questioned are you 100%, as you just told me I had no interview date, her reply was 'Sir, I have it right in front of me, October 1st, 9am'

My fiancée is gonna call back in an hour, hopefully clear it up (!?) but is there anything anyone recommends I do in this situation? Is it possible to check y date anywhere online? I've paid the fees btw if that's holds any interview date information

aha ! misinformation !

I suggest this. call back, 5 times today,

and ask when the interview date and time is.

record the answer each time,

then

take the 40 percent (or higher) answer.

Go Get Em, and Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

London sends a letter, and sometimes an email (especially if the interview date is assigned for a close date).

Did your fiance not get anything ("Packet 4") from them with an interview date? I would think that they would e-mail him/call him if they were going to schedule his interview for the 1st since that's next week.

Thanks for the advice! My fiancée called 30 mins after I did and was told to call back this afternoon US time, as their systems are down. I'm sure it won't take a whole morning to sort, so I'll call back in an hours time, try and find out what's going on :/

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately no email or call from the Embassy, checked spam folders too just in case.

I haven't received our packet 4 letter showing the interview date, though they only have us the date this Wednesday, so it would only arrive today or tomo if thats the case. Hoping DOS can clear it up later today?!

They could have sent him a letter days ago that never made it

Who knows, the CEAC update should really just show assigned interview dates when allocated, it would save the US a lot of phone calls

Thank you all for the replies

Sorry to jack your thread!!

What was the number you used to call DOS? My status on the CEAC website said that I have been ready since 9th Sep and there's been no letter in the post.. hence I'd like to see if the letter has been lost in the post.

Thanks for any help,

Matt

Matt, DOS is 202-485-7600 (US#)

CEAC will show as READY from the day your case is received from NVC until potentially your interview. READY just means that they have it and are reviewing it. They'll then send Packet 3 (one-sheet with a web link) to you requesting some forms. You can actually search VJ for this link and start on those forms before you receive the official letter from the Embassy. You can also schedule your interview date as soon as you have your LND case # assigned at NVC.

After you return packet 3 forms and your medical results are received by the embassy, then they will send you Packet 4 letter with your interview date.

Good luck!

Thanks for the help, Sarah.

I have had my medical and sent sent in all the forms so just waiting for the interview date, it's been about a month since my medical and over that since I sent in the other forms and DS2001. I'll give them a call now and see what I can find out.

Thanks again :-)

You can also schedule your interview date as soon as you have your LND case # assigned at NVC.

How do you schedule your date? I thought they just sent you one for whenever they feel like it.

December 12th, 2013: Picked up marriage license.

December 14th, 2013: Wedding
