Hey guys,

It's almost two months since I sent the I-130 packet to Frankfurt, so I'm expecting a response in the next few weeks. Wanting to get a head start on the next step, I thought I'd start filling out the DS-230 and have it ready-to-rock. However, the instructions posted at http://germany.usembassy.gov/visa/iv/step3/ have changed and now say you have to do a DS-260. It's an online thing, and right now I don't have all the info need to log on yet (Invoice ID). Does anyone have experience with this? The unexpected change to the procedure has shocked me a bit.

Thanks.

This is for K1 visas, but I assume it should be the same (seem like there is a lot of confusion about the forms). It is in German, but I assume your wife can help you translating:

In case of doubts, just send the consulate an e-mail and ask. Good luck!
