OK...here's my two cents (for what it's worth LOL)...

1 - If you miss plum sauce, I think that duck sauce is the name used for something similar down here (not exact, sadly, but it'll do in a pinch I guess).

2 - Canadian Cheez Whiz is SO different from the ####### they sell down here (at least in VA). I miss Canadian Cheez Whiz on toast with butter or Becel!!!!!! Has anyone found a state yet that even SELLS the Canadian version of Cheez Whiz????

Duck sauce is definitely not the same . I do not like it! I did find a Plum Sauce at my local Giant, but have yet to try it. I forget the brand.

And YES! I bought my first jar of cheez whiz a month or so back down here. WAY DIFFERENT. Texture is off as well. Definitely adding that to my list of Canadian groceries to buy next time I am up there!

I still call it kraft dinner after 8 years of being here. lol They call it mac n cheese here in the south.

I just noticed that on the actual boxes of Kraft Dinner down here, it now says "Kraft Mac N' Cheese Dinner" My husband thought it was funny we call it Kraft Dinner, now theirs says it too

Creamed honey.. my husband is dying for creamed honey for his peanut butter sandwiches. I found tiny tiny jars of it at a local grocery store, but it costs a small fortune (it's even imported from Canada!) He wants his big huge No Name creamed honey, poor guy.

If you have an Amish market near you I would check that out. I can get a semi large container for like $8. A little steep but is good!

WHAT, really???? Walmart really? I need to check this out tomorrow - see if the local one HERE has those. Those would ALMOST make up for the lack of respectable Cheez Whiz...(what I wouldn't give for cheez whiz on homemade bread toast right now...)

Found a bottle of Made in Canada HP Sauce at a supermarket here. (I ran out of time to get a jumbo bottle for me & one for Kathryn41 before leaving home.)

I was sad to see it has glucose-fructose (HFCS) in it as well as gluten. I wonder if there’s a way to make a passible substitute from scratch.

Finally found cheese curds at a new Kroger here. Maybe I’ll make poutine to go with my steak on the weekend.

YES! They were in the cookie aisle, but kind of in a section where they had not so common items, on the lower shelf. They were beside the Breton crackers. Good Luck!

So I have this thing for Skor chocolate bars. The US equivalent are called Heath and I can't stand them. I finally found a reliable source - Fred Meyer in the candy aisle. My guilty pleasure after grocery shopping trips. They were also at World Market but pricier and further away for me.

Jewel-osco carries all the dare cookies, lemon creme, maple, etc. here in chicago. almost 3 $ for a small box but oh soo good

OMG me too!! hubby keeps getting me things like heath for skor, and caramello for mars, and i can't find caramilk anywhere either..i keep telling him these us version suck! lol.

I am in Canada visiting now and have been enjoying all the Canadian treats. All the Nabisco product packages are all covered in GO CANADA for the Olympics! I love Canada's enthusiasm for the Winter Olympics. My sister and I just devoured a bag of Lay's Ketchup chips. Oh the things we miss.

Also- Tim Hortons has a delicious new "pretzel bagel" YUM!

Another place I have found the Dare Maple cookies is in certain "Dollar" and "Dollar General" stores, so definitely give those a try too. For a while, they also carried Coffee Crisps, but I haven't found those in almost 2 years now so I guess they stopped carrying them.

On Ebay you can actually find a lot of items - Lays or Old Dutch Ketchup chips (or all dressed...drooool...), Cheez Whiz, Dare cookies, chocolate bars...oh my!!!
