I miss Old Dutch Ketchup chips.. ah caramel snack cakes ..

then a whole host of chocolate bars.. wunderbar, caramilk, coffee crisp.

hp sauce (dad sends me down a bottle at christmas each year!), st hubert sauce and bbq seasoning. hmmm what else? mom has me bring her back Byrds custard? pop tastes funny here, so I stick with canada dry gingerale. I wish I could find cheese curds to make my own poutine.

as for canadian other products, I wish I could find penaten baby cream for when we have kiddos. We always used it on my nieces. the diaper cream here smells rank.

Do you have a Dutch farmers market near you at all? That is the only place I can find cheese curds around here!

Yay! Got my mom to bring me some more Ketchup and VH Plum sauce when her and my dad come here Saturday (Yay Canadian Thanksgiving!). That and the Monarch cake and pastry flour and Tenderflake shortening! Gonna make me some tourtières!

My husband made dinner last night and he had somehow got a box of Kraft Mac and Cheese in the house...and made that to go with dinner. All I had left was American Heinz. It just felt so wrong!

I Love VH Plum sauce too, I always bring some home with me.

When I was visiting my husband back in the dating days, we went out to eat with his family for a birthday and I wanted something light to eat so I ordered some chicken tenders and asked for some plum sauce ...LOL big mistake, everyone looked at me like I was the craziest person alive. Needless to say I quickly asked what other dipping sauces they had...which was ranch...yuck..

This plum sauce thing happened to me last week. Ordered some chicken tenders asked if they had plum sauce and everyone was like HUH? What the heck is that...?! My father-in-law thought I said 'Bum Sauce'.... Finally I had to settle for honey mustard which I didn't even use anyway....

Not a big KD eater, but do like an occasional bowl once in a blue moon, was very disappointed that it didn't taste the same...maybe it's because I use butter down here instead of Becel? Still having hard time adjusting to no Becel...LOL

i always called it kraft dinner or KD. haven't touched it since i moved here. it tastes bloody awful here I miss the Canadian one. its like kraft singles, those taste like ####### here as well.

I do have to say though, the price of shredded cheese here is sooo cheap, I couldn't believe the price difference, what would cost 7 bucks in NB, costs 1.89 here....wow

it depends. i know when i lived in Quebec milk and cheese was ridiculous. we used to drive to ontario and buy milk since it was like 3$ cheaper for a bag. same thing for Gas lol.

I wouldn't argue that! Even my flights here from Fredericton NB, would be 1000+ round trip (cheaper if we kept an eye out on flights beforehand) meanwhile my girlfriend flew down in August from Toronto and only paid 150 bucks round trip...what a rip off!!

Couldn't believe a flight for two, from Boston to Charlotte NC was only 239 round trip!! Woop! I see a lot of sightseeing in the USof A in my near future!
