What to wear for interview in New Delhi?

I am bit confused, what should I wear for k1 visa interview in New Delhi?

Indian ladies suit or pants and tshrt or jean and top?

I dont want to wear a suit and make them doubt about my self that wether I am married or unmarried. Still I am ok to wear Indian suits.

Any colour u advice?

Oddly enough, this was a conversation my fiance and I had before he went for his interview. We briefly considered a formal suit but then decided that might be too much and draw unnecessary attention. At the same time, we didn't want him to be too casual, just in case. So he ended up wearing business attire: dress slacks, dress shoes, shirt and tie. When I asked him how others were dressed in comparison he said that most were dressed either casually (in jeans and tops) or wearing traditional Indian clothing (i.e. Kurta). He said that he did not see anyone very dressed up and no one in business suits. Obviously your situations are different since he's a man but hope this helps out somewhat

I don't know about K-1 but for my H-1 i i did wear Jeans and T-shirt whereas most of them were sweating in their formals. Wear what is comfortable and decent. That should be good enough. :-)
