I need to get my butt in gear and get the AOS filed. I'm using this guide. http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos Anybody have a tip to add? Anything out of date in this guide?

What have you used for proof of an ongoing marriage? I've got photos, and well, that's about it. I can set up a joint bank account, but not sure what else I can send. Thoughts?

We added library, social security, auto club, and health insurance cards. 401K beneficiary designation forms, ATM and credit cards and statements. Copies of wedding invite lists and cards and emails offering congratultions including envelopes.

AOS from K-1 does not require any proof of a bona fide marriage. Your relationship was already vetted at your K-1 interview.

Most mistakes occur with the I-864.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Really? no proof required? Well, I'll stop worrying then.

What mistakes have you seen on the 864?

Usually incomplete tax returns and no proof of current income.

Thanks Slowlyman for posting the above questions as i have the same questions? can some of you all help me please? do we have to file for AOS immediately after we get married? and the above forms we only need for AOS? I will hate to pay a lawyer if we can just do it ourselves.

Th only proof of marriage/ bona fide relationship needed for AOS from a K-1 is the copy of your certified marriage certificate. Save up the rest of the evidence in case you have an interview, such as co-mingling of finances and co-habitation proofs.

This older post by a VJ member is quite helpful. The only thing in it not up to date is the fee, which is currently $1070 > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/235331-aos-ead-ap-from-k1-the-aussie-way-doc-list-included/

Exactly correct. We brought a few things to the interview but weren't asked questions about the relationship.
