We have not received any notification from the consulate in China, however, after obtaining our GUZ number I put it into the Consular Electronic Application Center status app. The attached is the result... (Ready).

I'm a little confused since it looks like its ok to start scheduling, but they haven't sent anything to us.

She we wait to get correspondence? Go for scheduling? Any reccomendations?

Please help... our delays have been brutal thus far... we need to minimze any further delays.

Thanks.

go pay the visa fee with the GUZ # at a CITIC bank.

then study a bit at ustraveldocs.com - making an account there.

So, we got ourselves on US traveldocs, got to the point where we received the cgi number. Which she will take to the bank, I'm hoping still tomorrow.. I reverified our GUZ number with the CEAC website... here is what was shown... now....

So do we still pay and get ready for the interview, or do we (for the billionth time) stay in a holding pattern?

It makes no sense to put us in a "Ready" Status then put us in an "Administrative Processing" mode 10 days later. Then reference to perform any instructions given by the consular officer during the interview" when haven't even gotten to that point.

Any suggestions?

ah - ceac status.

For a K-1, prior to interview at GUZ IV,

all folk go into administrative processing.

or something that pegs the status at CEAC to show as administrative processing.

That's just how it is.

Now, what is it ? Normal, standard, casefile processing at GUZ IV. Stuff is done at GUZ IV prior to interview day, it's normal, don't sweat it. You can check CEAC often, but until you get an interview date, it's mostly useless for casefile checking .
