NJ's Booker defends Twitter exchange with stripper

Booker, 44, exchanged direct messages earlier this year with Lynsie Lee, who works at a vegan strip club called Casa Diablo in Portland, Ore.

Lee provided a screenshot of the exchange Wednesday to the website BuzzFeed.

In the messages, Lee told Booker the West Coast loved him. Booker, who is single, said the East Coast loves her, "and by the East Coast, I mean me." Lee responded she was blushing. Booker replied "it's only fair."

Had the GOP bothered to put up a mainstream Republican, probably someone with close ties to Governor Christie, this could have been a race.

People will try to equate this with what Anthony Weiner did. If I were Booker, I would not engage in a conversation with this woman. This is not good for him, politically. I wouldn't say he fizzled out early but he is playing with fire by engaging conversations with this woman who has repeatedly stated that she wants to "bed" him, etc. *sigh*... oh, politics....

Because for once, the "liberal media" is doing something right... not discussing someone's sexuality because it bears no weight on how a candidate can perform his / her job in office.
