Timeline

I was approved on Oct 27 and i am still aiting for the NVC to send the case over to Moscow. They said that it is under Admin Review. How long did it take for the people with Russian Fiancees to get through NVC?

Alex,

Every case is different, some people wait a few days, and some months. In my case, I had to wait for almost 3 months before it got approved and sent to the embassy in moscow. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do, but wait and call them for the status of your case. Try to patient, I know it is hard. I spent a long time with NVC, but it did go through.

It took us 2 weeks. They always say under admin review even if it is normal processing. Do not get too worried, although you have waited more then most.

K1 Visa Process long ago and far away...

02/09/06 - NOA1 date

12/17/06 - Married!

AOS Process a fading memory...

01/31/07 - Mailed AOS/EAD package for Olga and Anya

06/01/07 - Green card arrived in mail

Removing Conditions

03/02/09 - Mailed I-751 package (CSC)

03/06/09 - Check cashed

03/10/09 - Recieved Olga's NOA1

03/28/09 - Olga did biometrics

05/11/09 - Anya recieved NOA1 (took a call to USCIS to take care of it, oddly, they were helpful)

They always say admin processing, but admin review is something different. When I asked the NVC they said I was in admin processing and not admin review.

That does seem a little long.

Stay on top of it. It's usually a week or two, tops. If you're case is taking two months, you definitely need to talk to someone there to find out what's going on.

Keep us posted. (And maybe try this over in the K-1 or NVC thread.)

They managed to loose ours for ..... 3 months! Original was sent it to National Records instead of NVC. They don't like even looking for it until the 90 days is up. Good luck.

Our case was at NVC from like early April '05-Nov '05 and interview was in Dec '05. It was painful but it did end eventually.

February 3, 2005. Applied for K-1.

July 14, 2005. Email to NVC congressional unit

Nov 2, 2005. Letter to congressman

Nov 8, 2005. Letter from congressman

December 19, 2005. Visa interview in Moscow. (250 days at NVC)

January 27, 2006. POE: JFK.

April 8, 2006. Wedding in USA.

April 19, 2006. Apply for AOS.

July 12, 2006. AOS Interview.

February 26, 2008. Letter to congresswoman.

March 19, 2008. Conditional Permanent residence began!!

2009: Wake up and get on the uscis train again - lifting conditions

Dec 21, 2009. Eligible to apply to remove conditions

February 2010: 10-yr Green Card Received

07-20-06 : letter from NVC dated July 18 that they rec petition and would forward

07-25-06 : Moscow rec

07-26-06 : DOS tells me that Moscow has sent packet (does not happen in Moscow)

08-19-06 : Moscow sends interview letter

10-05-06 : Interview - CAKE WALK!

Seek more info.

Most government employees don't do anything unless they have to, or are bothered ad nauseum and would rather do it than keep being bothered.

You may have better luck with the bothering than waiting until they're required to do something.
