I applied a petition for my family on Oct. 11, 2011 as a permanent resident. After I became a citizen, the process was completed in USCIS and transferred to NVC. I am at the final step and submitted all the civil documents and online DS-260. Now, I have one question which is very confusing to me.

There is not an immigrant Visa Officer in my country and as a result, I had to choose the neighboring country for Visa Interview. Now, I am requested the Police Report from the neighboring country where my wife has NEVER ever been before. The DS-260 online filled form we submitted does not indicate the residence of my wife in the neighboring country either. Mind you, I have already attached the police certificate of our country where my wife lived from the day she was born.

Imagine, we have gone through a very terrible experience of unnecessary waiting. I wondered if the NVC officer who is handling my wife's case really read the DS-260 we submitted. What can you advise me????

Thank you
